tnx for the help.. anyway, ive found out so much about this phone.. it looks good, yeah.. but then,, nokia is much much better. i can download applications that are said to be compatible with samsung g600. but, when i finally open it on the phone itself, it says, file not supported... second thing is, the built-in music player can't play continuous songs on a large memory basis.. all it can do is play at least 100MB of songs or else the unit will just restart... i hate it...

Check if your batteries are getting hot when charging. If it is, then your charger is working. Maybe it is your battery.
If you want to store your files in your memory card, you can do so by inserting your card into a memory card reader.
I dont know if samsung is like motorola wherein, if the phone has a memory card and the connection setting for the phone is to read the memory card by usb. Then windows xp recognizes this as a removable storage device.
Or if you want to store files directly to your phone memory, you will need the software cd included in the box.

Why my phone keeps restarting

Battery may not be charged enough to run the phone. Keep the phone off and connect it to a charger to fully charge the battery or use an external battery charger.
Be sure the The micro usb connector is fully seated and that the battery is actually charging. A loose connection may appear to start the charging process, but if its loose, it may not be continuing to charge. Check the % progress.

On my unit the guage does not seem to move upward as the battery charges or is the line to the far left indicate a fully charged battery

The meter on the charger indicates how much power the charger is putting out. The far left is zero (0) output, meaning fully charged. There should be numbers on the meter.

hi,

here's what you can do...

Check the charging terminal of your unit and look for dirt accumulation and the like that maybe blocking the metal part or the terminal, remove it if any. if there is none, chances are that you have a defective charger or your unit has a defective charging circuit and will not charge your battery. aslo try on charging on other outlet.

To check your charger, you must have a multi-tester and set it to 10 Volts dc. connect the red probe of the tester to the positive terminal of the charger and the black to the negative. it must have a reading between 4V to 8V if it is OK. if it has a negative reading, reverse the connection.

if charger is OK, most probably that the charging circuit has problem.

I recommend to have it fix to a repair shop to avoid further damage on the unit.

Hope i helped you...
Don't forget to rate me OK... Thanks...

Bst regards,
John

send the phone away for a warranty repair thats if its still in the 12 months warranty. sounds like the phone. since your phone is working with the charger in it, that points to the battery but if you bought a new one then it has to be the phone unless you are very unlucky in getting 2 dysfunctional batteries. But the best way around this is to send it away under warranty

Energizer 15 minute Ni-MH Battery charger

A flashing red light indicates that there's an error, or the batteries are defective.

No, the unit won't switch itself off once the batteries have been fully charged. The unit will start trickle charging instead.

Battery not charging

You need a new battery. That battery goes dead maybe its a factory defect its very rare this to happen but try to contact the Company to ask if you have a warranty for this unit. One more thing make sure that your charger is functioning.
