WD external hardrive(320 GB). Every time i connect it to any computer , the computer stops responding. But the computer dictates that there is an external hddrive connected.

Does this happen if you connect it to a different computer?
On the other computer, virus-scan all the files on the drive.
It could be a computer-virus that is getting launched
when you connect it.

Is it your computer's virus-scanner that is trying to "scan" EVERY file, when the drive is connected?

Start the Windows Task Manager. Connect the drive,
and watch the "Performance" tab, to see what resources are being consumed.

I am a News Director for a radio station. I have

You could have a virus but, I've noticed a lot lately of having to re-install about everything, software and drivers. The "bad file format", tells me the software that handles those types of files isn't operating right or on the computer, possibly. The USB device that you have could had the USB port conflict with an update or some other software. My Ti 89 won't even connect until one time, I put it into a USB port that I never use and it started working correctly. My video card, I make operate with out updates because, I can only make it work with an older version. You really have to keep up on this stuff or you start having problems. Then when you can't seem to keep up with it, you know you might have a virus. Hope this helps.

Windows Vista installation failure On some Windows Vista systems Flash Player may be installed, but will not display Flash content. In some cases updating to the latest Flash Player using the included utility can correct the User Account Control settings that cause this problem.
To run the utility, find your installed Flash folder:
  • Right-click C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d.exe
The letter changes with each Flash version, so may be "FlashUtilb.exe" or "FlashUtile.exe"
  • Select "Run as Administrator"
  • Follow the steps to complete the Flash Player installation
  • Restart your computer
ALSO DISABLE ANY/ALL Popup Blockers

Zen Microphoto MTP drivers not installing, stuck in loop

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable

No Signal After Reconnecting Roady2

Try playing the Roady 2 through a fm radio with the audio jack(middle connection) disconnected and the FM Frequency & Fm Radio set to the same station. At least this will tell if the receiver is working. I suspect that you got an aftermarket audiojack for your stereo. Might want to check that. Go back to the manual FM Modulation setup instructions. Any FM receiver will work. Good Luck
