If it is the one that is on the end of a strap, at the end of the strap is a loop.
Feed the loop thru a small set of holes in the back of the seat. The seat should have 2 small, close to eachother, holes. It goes in one, out the other and then slide the clip thru the loop and pull it back tight.
The only other design I know of uses a screw to attach the belt, the clip is on, to to a nub with a hole in
it on the back of the car seat.
If by "clip" you mean the little bracket that looks like an "H" you thread the car's seat belt thru it, where the belt goes up to the highest point, and use the H clip to keep that part of the car's seat belt away from the child and car seat by weaving it behind the edge of the car seat.
Use Evenflo's site to download a free manual and it shows you how to do it. All you need is Model number and date of manufacture and it will give you your manual. Save it to your computer. Click this link.

Hi,
please feel free to call at 1-800-544-1108 and they can send you a manual in case you dont have it.

*To convert the car seat into a booster seat, turn the car seat over and remove the pin that holds the base in place. tHEN REMOVE THE BELTS AND THE BUCKLE.
*To remove you need to bend/twist the keeper until you can push it UP through the seat and remove the belt/strap. It is now a booster seat for use with a lap/shoulder belt in the car. Store all the parts you removed in a ziploc bag for when your child outgrows it so it can be reused

PLEASE RATE MY HELP :)

How do you remove the cover and belts on an evenflo car seat with this number on the side 25801158?

Turn the booster seat around to the back and locate the metal splitter plate that the harness is attached to. Remove both harness straps from the splitter plate. Locate the TensionRight knob located on each side of the seat in the front by the baby’s foot area. Turn the TensionRight knob to the back as far as it will go to take up the slack on the splitter plate strap. Pull both harness straps through the seat back to the front of the seat. Remove the harness strap from both sides of the chest clip and from the buckle tongues. NOTE: Please leave the buckle tongues locked into the **** strap for storage. Remove the harness strap from the seat. NOTE: Reattach the chest clip to the harness strap so they don’t get lost. Turn the booster seat upside down and locate the metal harness anchor. Turn the metal anchor sideways and push it through the slot to the front of the seat.

Types of car safety seats at a glance
The chart below is a quick guide on where to start your search. However, it’s important to read more about the features and how to use your car safety seat.
Age Type of Seat General Guideline Infants Infant seats and rear-facing convertible seats All infants should always ride rear-facing until they are at least 1 year of age and weigh at least 20 pounds. Toddlers/Preschoolers Convertible seats It is best to ride rear-facing as long as possible. Children 1 year of age and at least 20 pounds can ride forward-facing. School-aged children Booster seats Booster seats are for older children who have outgrown their forward-facing car safety seats. Children should stay in a booster seat until adult belts fit correctly (usually when a child reaches about 4' 9" in height and is between 8 and 12 years of age). Older children Seat belts Children who have outgrown their booster seats should ride in a lap and shoulder belt in the back seat until 13 years of age.

How to use seat belt with seat

Here is the link to the product page for the seat; http://www.evenflo.com/Default.aspx?tabid=203&productid=2b49c217-5716-4e6a-bf7a-0895dd0fe596 click on "demo" and you get a few videos showing how to install etc. Check this link for FAQs about the model; https://plweb.evenflo.com/faqs.aspx?catid=9&subcatid=806 and this link for the full user manual; https://plweb.evenflo.com/replacement_parts.aspx Basically what evenflo say is that if you can't teach the child not to climb out, you need a different type of booster with a traditional restraint. if thrown forward as described the belt should function as usual for an adult, assuming the belt is correctly positioned on the child. Contact evenflo on; http://www.evenflo.com/Home/ContactUs/tabid/175/Default.aspx if you have any doubts at all. They can also point you towards a qualified installer who can verify the safety or otherwise of your setup. Sorry if not great news, hope it helps keep your son safe :)
