Philips shm1900 headset on Lenovo thinkpad t430 with windows 7

It sounds like you are still using the mic on the laptop. Because you are far away from it, it sounds like echo.
Make sure the phillips headset is selected in the Windows mixer.
Make sure you are plugged into the mic jack on the laptop.
Make sure the mic is not muted. This is a default setting.

Rotating the jack or twisting the wire joint on the headset might work.

My right earphone wont work

Hi churris_s99,
The most common caused of this symptom is the bad solder joints in the speaker of the affected parts. If you can take it apart check if one of the wire has it. Another is the open internal wire in the cable of the headseat. You may confirm it using a continuity check with a multimeter. Place the earphone to your ear, upon testing the end of the headset plug you will hear a scratching sound...
To confirm where the fault came from insert another headset to your unit. If the symptom does not appear in the new headset, above was a caused of the symptoms.
Hope I helped you.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Is the headset of Samsung Champ can adjust in to equal lengths? Because left earphone is shorter than the right earphone. If it can adjust, how? Thanks in advance.

Hi there fellow Champ user, these kind of headsets are made that way,so that the mic will be near to your mouth and it ill be easier for you to converse. Since the right earphone is longer in length, have it pass at the back of your neck going to the right ear, making it comfortable and lessening the tangles created by these wire headsets. However, if you want a tangle-free communication then get a bluetooth headset

No noise is coming out of the right earphone

If in warranty, return it for repair.
Assure that your player is working by trying it with another headset. If it doesn't work, having the balance off to one side would be a cause. Another cause is lint or dirt getting into the headphone connector.
Most likely there is a broken wire caused by pulling on the cord at the connector or earphone. To isolate which end, try pushing the wire into the connector or earphone and seeing what makes the sound come back. The break will usually be where it enters the strain relief and can flex the most.
If holding the wire straight makes it work, you can try applying epoxy around it to keep it that way. Otherwise, you will either need to solder on a new connector (reasonably easy if you can solder) or re-solder where it goes into the earphone (difficult and/or looks like hell). These items are not made to be repaired.

Haedset plug in

Hi Try with another headset, if this works you earphones are faulty, if still the same with new headphones then it looks like the phono socket needs replacing.

Left side of stereo earphone does not work.

In side of your left wire there are two tiny coper wires (either blue/green/Red and gold) one of which is easily cut off.
Peel off the wire cover (Dont cut it off) near the earphone head (normally not more than an inch) to findout where one of the colored wire is cut off and fix it.
Note: Before you could join or fix this broken one firstly you need to burn up the color coded wire with fire for a SECOND so that all the color (green/Red...) are cleaned up.

If this dont fix Please tell me. Im here to help you

Good Luck!
