This software is no longer supported by Microsoft. It doesn't work with Vista and It won't work with Windows XP once the service packs are installed. The product was discontinued in 2004. You can see for yourself by going to Microsoft.com and select Picture It for details.

if you are using MS Office 2007 or above, you could directly save as PDF format.
The web converter always don't have good output quality.
Or you can try some professional desktop tool such as Nemo PDF convert which helped me solve a lot of headache problems.

Right, make sure the printer's on and still hooked up, click on your printer, check that it's set online and as the default printer. You're also welcome to (re)start the print services (and any HP printer services) in Services.
