Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Unfortunately the printer manufacturers want to make sure that you buy their ink, and not some generic version. They actually make 80-90% of their profit from their ink, and many of the times it is less expensive to replace the printer, and get new cartridges in the box, than it is to buy original replacement ink cartridges.
That being said, there are suppliers on the Internet that sell third party ink and cartridges that will work with your printer. They guarantee their product will work, or they will refund your money. The printer manufacturers do of course change the chips on the back of the cartridges with every new printer, but eventually they all end up being copied. If you do a search on Google for something like "Epson SX415 generic ink cartridges" or better yet "refillable Epson SX415 generic ink cartridges", and include your country of origin, you will find a number of suppliers that will ship to you, or you may even find a few in your home city.
As the cartridges you have tried to use have been recognized as non-Epson, there isn't anything that can be done to change that. However, if you plan on keeping this printer for some time, I would suggest getting the refillable cartridges. They will usually last for anywhere from 3-6 refills, and the bulk ink is cheaper by a factor of up to 80% of the price that Epson will charge you for their cartridges.
One note of warning; if you still have a warranty on your printer, and you choose to use non-Epson cartridges, your warranty will be voided. Of course that is not a concern if you do not have any warranty period left on your SX415.
