Question about Panasonic SDR-H18 USB Hard Drive
You may be able to recover what is on the hard drive, the power supply voltage regulator or some other component is likely to have burned out. If the unit smells strongly like something has gotten hot, chances are this is the case. If its worth it to you take it to a copmputer/camcorder repair center and they may be able to actaully get the camcorder going again. That being said, if all you want is to recover the video from the hard drive take it to a computer repair facilty and tell them that, most likely they will be able to do it.
