Question about Parrot GPS

Open Question

I have a Parrot MKi9000 installed in my Renault Clio which is paired to my iphone. It worked perfectly for a couple of months but recently the red button is not ending calls alot of the time, which means the call remains connected until i can either manually end the call on my phone (defeating the object of hands free) or until the other person hangs up. Likewise the green button is temperamental and often does nothing when I press it either to make a call or answer a call. Once I do get the buttons to respond it works perfectly.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: garmin bluetooth won't disconnect call

Solution below works for NUVI660 as well; ignore everything after step 6 but DO reboot and delete previously existing connections.

good luck

All,

I was having the same problem with my Curve and Nuvi 680. What has fixed this for me is downgrading the Bluetooth firmware version on the Nuvi itself. I was running version 3.0 (you can check your version by going to Settings -> System -> About on the Nuvi) -- I had success after downgrading to version 2.4.

It's a bit of a convoluted process, but here is the procedure I followed:

1. Download the old Nuvi BT firmware from the Garmin Italy website:

http://www.garmin.it/files/FileBluetooth.zip

2. Connect your Nuvi to your PC.

3. Go into the X:GarminRemoteSW and look for a file called 006B055301.GCD (where X: is your Nuvi drive)

4. Back up that file to your
computer, and delete it from the Nuvi.

5. Extract the file in the zip downloaded in step 1 to the X:GarminRemoteSW directory

6. Disconnect your Nuvi from your computer, and let it
reboot

7. Click on "View Map," then touch the "Speed" in the lower left corner.

8. You should have the "Dashboard" view up. Touch and hold the "Moving Average" box for ~15 seconds until the diagnostic screen appears.

9. Press the "next" button until you arrive at the "Bluetooth Status" screen (5-6 screens in)

10. Click "Updt PR" and then click "Yes"

11. Reboot the Nuvi, delete the existing bluetooth pairing, and attempt to re-pair with your BlackBerry.

Seems to work perfectly now -- please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

the above thread has several suggestions for solutions. The most common that seems to work is a phone reset. Make sure you backup any data first though.

I've bought a used car with fitted Parrot CK3100. When trying to pair with my Nokia 6230i, I manage to locate the Parrot. When I press the 'Pair' command, I'm told to enter the code, but before I can even...

before jumping into updating or flashing the software of the unit we may try few steps to get it working.

try this one:

on the parrot go to settings
advanced settings
pair with phone....

(on your phone...search the parrot.)

set the pairing using the "1234" password.

if that doesn''t work
try to push the red the green and the wheel.(this method will reset the CK1300) whne pushing do not let go until the screen changes display, may take at least 3-5 seconds.

after this try the pairing once again.

hope this helps, good luck

I would think the radio unit is defective or the USB wiring is at fault.

I cant pair my nokia 6303c to my parrot incar set ,every time i enter the pin number 0000 it fails to pair is this the correct number

It appears some Parrot models use 0000 but a number also use 1234.

Try 1234 first, but the link below gives user guides for a number of Parrot products.
See if your model number is listed, or scroll down and see if the pictures let you identify it.

Unable to connect my iphone 3gs to the Parrot CK3000 Evolution.

You need to reset the Parrot first.

Hold down red and green buttons together until she tells you that the memory is being cleared. Then she will prompt you to pair your phone.

Then, and only then does the Parrot allow the iPhone to pair, and it will bring up the code prompt for you on the iPhone.

You won't find this written down anywhere on the Parrot site.

Pairing a Parrot CK3100 to Iphone 3GS

My iPhone 3G is now connected. Did 3 things:

1. Deleted every existing paired device on the Parrot CK3100.

2. Pressed all 3 buttons at once. Parrot CK3100 screen lit up and buttons lit up after about 5 secs. Turned car engine off. Parrot switched off. Turned car on again.

3. Went to settings, advanced settings, pair device (and also switched on iPhone bluetooth) and tapped Parrot CK3100 on the iPhone screen (which had now appeared) - phone connected.

After about a minute sync iPhone phonebook appeared on Parrot.

Hope this is helpful.

Nokia 5800 wont connect

Have you used the Parrot with another phone? In which case you need to clear it's memory to put it back into pairing mode.

Hold down green and red together until she tells you memory is cleared, then she prompts you to pair your phone.
