Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

This is symptomatic of an intermittent (hot, if it's both hot and cold fill, cold if it's cold fill only) water control valve. Its physical no power/fail position is closed but yours is not closing completely. It needs replacing so sorry, service call ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

Haha machine not finishing cycle cannot open the door and full of water

use gravity to empty the machine
a bucket might not be low enough
make a longer hose to reach outside the house at ground level
or lots of towels

drop the water outlet pipe to the ground and bowl will empty

the door should open

after that possible timer repair or control board replacement

Door will not open if machine not emptied immediately cycle ends

This is an anti-flood protection, since water would flood the kitchen if you could open the door. If the machine shuts down for some fault and leaves the drum with water in, then it is advisable to drain the drum down via the small hose at the front of the machine. Simply remove the plug and empty into a large container until the drum is empty. You can then start to work out why the cycle ceased prematurely.

I can't unlock my washing machine, I don't know why. It normally opens automatically after it has finished.

Apart from a faulty Door interlock could be water stiil in the drum make sure its empty and electrics are ok firstly

Hotpoint WMA76 - been on a normal wash cycle but wont spin to drain water - cycle finished, drum full of water and cant empty. How do we empty it to open machine?

Remove drain outlet hose from point where it discharges into waste pipe, and lay the hose down into a bucket or bowl, this should let the water syphon out, enabling you to open the door.

The door will not open, and the cycle hasn't finished as possible fault with machine. How can we open the door?

take your outlet pipe and lay it into a bowl low to floor, this will cause water to empty, unless there is a blockage.when empty door should open.

Washing machine fills with water when not in use.

Either your pressure in the main line bringing water to your machine is insufficient; or your intake water valve is defective; which you can replace easily.

Wd63 door

The main cause with this model is water still in machine. Try a spin and look for water in drum. To empty manually lower drain hose into bowl untill empty. Door should then open.

Motor running drum not emptying

sounds like maybe a blocked pump.Probably got a coin or sock or some lint in the pump.Has your machine got a filter ? What happens when you position the program switch on a spin section and turn it on ? does it pump out the water ?

Washing machine fills with water when not in use.

You have an open solenoid on your water valve where the fill hoses connect. Change the water valve and you should be good.
