Question about Sanyo PLC-SU50 Multimedia Projector

Sanyo plc-su50 projector - can't get it to work

We have been loand the projector and got it projector powered up and projecting a blank screen but cannot get it to play our slide show. From the manual it doesn't appear we need any form of software on the computer but it just says there is no input - don't know if we have any leads missing. All we have is the main power lead which is obvious. A lead with a white pin plug on one and and a smaller blue one on the other - only the blue end is the right size for the ports on the back of the computer so presumably this is the only way it can go. The only other lead is a usb lead into both the back of the projector and pc. We were told you just load your file and press control and f4 or f5 and it should projector, but doesn't. Help!

Our projector keeps turning itself off!!

Please check that the plug is tight to the outlet, the fan is working, there is no clogging of the filter as the reduced cooling will result in the temperature rising thereby the temperature sensor will cut off the lamp to save from failure.
finally if the lamp has worked many hours it can be weak and so heats up more. If so the lamp must be changed. try to swap and confirm. Use an extra fan to check with the cooling.

Can't get power point to project on sanyo pro xtrax

sounds like it could be a problem with the output resolution of the computer. some projectors will not be able to display anything higher than 800x600, and most computers now can output at a higher resolutions. check the limits of the projector and change the the display on the computer by right clicking on your desktop and going to properties >settings >screen resolution.

Can not make picture bigger on my Sanyo PLC-SW20 projector

depending on the size of the surface you are projecting on, and what the zoom capacity of your lens is, you probably only have one choice available to you, and that is to move your projector farther away from what you are trying to project onto.....

hope this helps!

Yellow band on the edge of screen

Hi chucri

This is most definitely not a lamp problem.

If a yellow colour in either stripes or blotches occur it is a blue LCD polarizer that needs replacement.

Projectors screen turns yellow,on and off, after awhile has been looking white

You are describing Color Decay. Welcome to the world of LCD projectors. The blue device is the first to go, thus the yellow fringe. You must have about 3-4000 hours on the projector. Replace the product with a dlp product and it will last a lifetime, or until you want something with newer features.
