There may be a route via right mouse click on the printer and selecting properties. Other than that you're going to have to consult your printer user guide.

If you don't have a copy, you should be able to download one from you printer manufacturers website.
Just follow links for support and downloads entering you printer model details when required.

How do you select most use of freeways to avoid back roads? My Magellan was easy to use in that regard.

Hello,

Go to the Tools > Settings > Navigation > and press the button under Avoidances.
Use the arrow down and place a check mark in the box beside Unpaved Roads and then press OK.
Also, go to the Tools > Settings > Navigation > and setting the Route Preference to Faster Time will usually route using freeways. This is not always the case, as some secondary roads are paved and the unit will route to them if it calculates that this will be a faster route.
It is usually a good idea to familiarize yourself with an unknown route. This can be done after creating the route and touching the map screen. Zoom out to view sections of the route. Via points can then be added to modify the route as necessary.

Hello,

Routes can be edited to add or remove points by selecting the route and editing it while in the nuvi.
This can be done by going into the Tools > Routes, select the route and Edit then save. The route can also be edited by using the Where To? > Routes, select the route and Edit then save.

I want to bet the best and quickest route rather than the scenic -help

Hello,

To obtain the fastest route all that you have to do is adjust your routing settings, to do this go into Tools > Settings > Navigation in this menu you should have the option of "fastest time" or "shortest distance"

Hope this helps!

Installed a new HP black ink cartridge; the officejet 8500 pro will not print any black print. The color ink works okay.

First print a self test page on the printer and check if you have black print on it or not.

To do that Go to your printer :-

Press Setup button -->Go to print report-->hit ok--> use arrow keys and choose the self test page.--> hit ok.

If you have the self test page fine then try to make a black copy from the printer.

Put a black font printout on the scanner glass facing downwards. Press copy black

Check if you have the black ink working.

If yess then there is some thing on the system you are doing wrong. May be the printer properties needs to be set or some settings needs to be checked.

If no then try to clean he ink cartridge and try to align the cartridge on the printer.

To align Do this

Press setup-->use arror keys to navigate to tools -->and choose the option align cartridge or align printer.

If you do not find the option in the tools option try looking for it in the print report...

On the computer Go to printer under control panel and right click on the printer and go to print prefernces --> go to the TAB called colors and under color options -->choose print in greyscale--> and under that choose the Black only option. --> hit apply and then hit ok.

Now try printing..!

Let me know if any of these steps works....

Heads on printer

go to the menu and select tools and settings. There should be an option to clean the heads.

If you mean clean the cartridge, take it out and using a sterile swab (not a q-tip), or a swab that doesn't release any fibers, dip it in rubbing alcohol and wipe the ink area with the swab. Keep doing this with a new swab each time until no ink is left, then print a alignment page.
