Try this: Go to Dell Website and download/install driver for your computer/os.If nothing changed - then your webcam is out for good.Good luck! var geo_Partner = '20df8a9f-0e62-447d-a13b-e4b279000c5f'; var geo_isCG = true;

No webcam detected laptop

Try re-installing the webcam driver from here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/uk/en/ukdhs1/Produc...
(Click the "Drivers & Downloads" tab).

If that doesn't fix it, and there are no driver errors showing in Device Manager (ie no question marks or exclamation marks) then it's very likely that the internal webcam has broken and Windows can no longer detect it.

You can buy an external webcam to overcome that problem.

How do I turn on the integrated webcam?

you either have it disabled in the control panel or the driver files are corrupted. You might have loaded some software which accesses the camera and uninstalled it or its installation failed, taking down the driver wth it. find camera driver and load it. look for it in control panel or device control.

Plz give the answer of my qwestion which is my web cam is not detected in my system hp g-42 notebook pc

it's probably the driver
the driver might be not installed,if your operating system is windows xp,then you need to install the driver, but windows 7 usually doesn't need any driver, but still i recommend you to install the driver
if you don't know where you can find the driver, just tell me what series is your webcam is,and i'll find it for you ^^

Vostro 3700 webcam not detected

Download and install the webcam drivers.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Dell Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

You have to open the webcam software to activate or start the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it then click on the webcam or camera icon.

Try using ManyCam

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

I downloaded a dell webcam driver for my dell vostro 1015 but its not getting installed...it displays the message-"set up could not detect any dell web cam central on your system".pls suggest...

Make sure that your laptop actually has a camera built in. Some models don't have a webcam. Other than that, you may need to turn it on via a switch (but I doubt there is such a thing) or last resort is to see in BIOS if there is a setting to turn on the webcam (doubt it also).

Dell inspire laptop 1564 webcam not working properly. Whenever open the dell webcam center the error showing as below: "please plug in a supported device"

It sounds like the driver does not match the WebCam.
Uninstall the WebCam driver and WebCam
Reboot the laptop and reinstall as required.
Hope that helps.

Everytime I open my Dell Webcam Central, it comes up with the message "please plug in supported device" it has only been doing this for the past 3 days or so, how can i fix it?

Possible that the webcam is not installed with the right drivers and is having errors , so remove off the present software and reinstall the correct dell software . try this link for support:
