Question about Acer Aspire 4520-5582 Notebook
Do you know if the laptop itself is turning on? You can test this by plugging in an external monitor to the laptop and powering it up. If the external monitor turns on and you can use the laptop then there is an issue with the laptop's LCD display. You will need to open up the laptop and confirm that the connection for the display is firmly plugged into the motherboard.
If the external monitor does not turn on then there is an issue with the laptop itself and you will need to get it repaired.
I have two Acer laptops one under warranty and one without, I have called Acer twice last year to repair the laptops, they had me drop the laptops to their depot which was luckily close to my house. The laptop under warranty had it's motherboard replaced and it was back to me in the same week. The laptop not under warranty cost me $199 US to fix and they had it back to me in under 3 weeks.
Depending on your budget and your distance to the closest Acer depot, repairing the laptop by Acer might be your best bet. Just remember they do not take responsibility of backing up the hard drive so there is a chance that you might loose your information. To prevent this I removed my hard drives before taking the laptops to them.
Hope this helps you.
