Question about ViewSonic N3752w 37 in. LCD TV

1 Answer

Start-up with HDMI-1 it works fine. go to bed, get up, turn on, blue screen, swap HDMI cable to HDMI-2, works fine. Then bedtime come and we turn ir off and get up in the morning and turn it on to a blue screen which I fix by swapping the cable back to HDMI-1 Which now works again! I have a laptop computer permenantly hooked up to HDMI-3 to play some of our computer and internet generated media. This gives me no trouble but is this the culprit?

Hi,
A suggestion to avoid swapping HDMI cable each time, turn On tv first then turn On video source attached with tv so tv can recognize it easily.
HDMI port works similar to USB port in computer so tv should be On when video source turns On and sends video-audio signals to tv.
Hope this info will help.
Thanks.

Sounds like a loose connection. Make sure your cables are secure. Try switching your INPUT selection on the remote to something else, for example, if you're watching cable, switch to HDMI, or A/V or something.

You can also try, if the input w/ the issues is HDMI, either swapping your cable for a new one, or swapping which HDMI input it's plugged into.

Good luck.

Out of no where my Vizio won't show cable, Blue Ray, or shows on Roku. One of the HDMI ports hasn't worked well for awhile so would have to switch HDMI ports to watch Roku or Blue Ray, but overall worked...

you may need to change the HDMI board in the tv. it will be the hole board the parts are just to small to replace them all to get the HDMI board working again. find a second hand replacement. should be fine with another known working one.

Cable TV blinks on and off when connected to my Onkyo receiver.

I have the same problem.  It only occurs with my HD DVR (HDMI cable), not my blue ray (HDMI cable), or my xbox and wii (component video).  Video and audio cutout is random and drives the family nuts.  I am desperate for a solution.

When tv is wired to media center and then to blueray dvd , disc will not play. Non blueray disc will play. When tv wired directly to blueray player, blueray disc runs fine. Cables are hdmi

Hi.

When you say disk will not play I assume the BRD player does not start playing.

If the Blue ray unit does not start at all and stays in stand by , then the HDMI cable you are using to connect to TV, or HDMI port on TV may be defective.
Try replacing cable and swapping HDMI ports.

Olevia LT27HVX 27 just blue screen

I just had this same problem over the weekend. Is your TV hooked up via HDMI?? Mine was and i've been having problems with the tv image shrinking whenever i turn on the tv, so i would have to change the channel 1 or 2 times for the image to come up normally. On Saturday I went to change the channel and then all of a sudden I hearld this loud pop and when the image came on it was just a sky blue screen, I couldnt see anything, but I could hear the channel. So I disconnected the HDMI and hooked up the tv with component cables I had and now it works fine. I ordered a new HDMI cable just to see if it will work again. If not, i'm calling Olevia.

Toshiba hdmi ports not working

I talked to Toshiba about his problem, this morning. They said they have never hear of such an issue. I told them the TV was less than 1 week old, and would hope Toshiba would do something in response to my alternative action of returning both my Toshiba HD DVD and 52LX177 for a new brand. They said all they can do is have me go to a service center for them to repair it. 1 week old TV and DVD, $4000, for repair; I don't think so. I talked to two different people a Toshiba regarding this, with the same answer. Very poor customer support, especially for a higher end product like this. I think I have no choice but to change brands.
