We did have a power outage recently, and the unit has not worked since, I have checked the fuse and it appears to be fine... led's still do not come on... in fact no noise is made either... just dead silence as if it were not plugged in. there is definitely power to the source though

Maybe the power failure affected the internal circuitry, perhaps burning the power supply.
Take it to a maintenance shop to get it diagnosed.

No power appears to be coming in....no connection when door is closed; no lights come on on any of the cycle indicators...deader than a doornail@l

Hello. I need the make/model number to help you most accurately. From the symptom you describe, there might be a main fuse located on or near the main control board which has opened, killing power to the unit. Clues: totally dead--no lights--an open door will not affect indicator lights, the unit won't do anything though--safety(nothing will happen until the door is closed) Have you had a power outage recently? Usually 3-4 weeks after an outage, the damaged chips on the boards start to fail. This can be evidenced by blown control panels, blown main boards, etc. Make sure 120 volts *is* getting to the dishwasher--check the power connections below(be careful). If the breaker has tripped, reset it and see if the unit runs. Troubleshooting starts from the outside and proceeds inward, eliminating the obvious and moving to ever more complex problems until the culprit is found. Definitely supply me with that model number so I can see what I'm dealing with and guide you correctly. Thanks!

I have a Vizio A601i-A3. After a recent storm the unit no longer has any power. Is the solution to this to resolve the power board?

check main fuse box in case a circuit breaker has tripped
check the fuse in the power plug to see if it has blown
Check any internal fuses in the tv to ascertain if they have blown.
If all are fine you should get an led showing at least?/
If the led comes on what colour is it, it it/they flash observe and report it...there may be a pattern or a code of some sort.

You need to state make and model of the tv also please.
Can you put all this in a new query and then post it, thanks

Hi William,

If your problem is a continuous green blinking led light and will not turn on, this is an indication that the DM of your unit try but hasn't booted up and stuck to this fault.
If you have checked fine the fuses on the DM power supply board, you have to check/replaced also the electrolytic capacitors on that board.

11_1_2011_12_36_04_am.jpg

www.tvrepairkits.com has a repair kit for your unit (DM power supply board) that includes these parts.

If you've already replaced the capacitors on that board but still the symptoms still persist, I would advice you to check/replaced the capacitors on the power supply board feeding the DM power supply board. Check also the pico fuses and bad solder joints (cracked, cold, dried solder). Resolder the joints that look suspicious.
Yes, your model has no complete schematic diagram downloadable online. I have a copy of the repair manual that includes the schematic but not a complete one. The power supply's schematic shows only the major parts and the output voltages of the board. Same as on the DM's power supply.
Email me at jimvincentvillanueva@yahoo.com, I will send you the copy of the repair manual.

Hello!WE had recent power outage ,now door opener won't work.unit has power lights come on when remote pad pressed, but nodoor action?thank you

Along with the power outage you probably also had a power surge. You need to pull the logic board and check the printed circuit board for burnt or missing traces. Unplug the unit first.

Comfort-aire BHD-651 Dehumidifier broken after power outage

Start with the outlet they are plugged into - any power there?
The only solution I can suggest is to take it apart and check the wiring for any burned or shorted wires.
Also check the control circuit board - most have a small glass tube fuse on them. It is possible it was blown when the house was hit.

Trane Heat Pump

What caused the power outage? Check the outdoor disconnect to the condenser unit. The fuses may have blown, causing the heat pump to not function and depending on the aux. heat to carry the load.

No Green

Check the crt board and follow the green signal path, could have a shorted transistor or a resistor out of tolerance on that line, check all the components on that line
