It sounds like it may be bad. Typical PIR sensor's range is determined by the lens. It's possible it may need cleaning. Most have the front half of the PIR snap on or there will be a screw in the bottom. Opening will allow you to check behind the lens for spider webs or other obstructions.

Good luck.

PIR switches and house wiring is incompatable?

Several possibilities. First use standard light bulbs until it is working. Some of the PIR have triac outputs which need a minimum amount of current to work. CFL and LED lights can be a problem with electronic switches/dimmers.

The PIR needs electricity to operate. The black and white wire are probably power and return, there is no neutral to connect to the PIR. Unless you can get a different PIR that does not need line power to operate you are out of luck. There may be some that can cycle steal power and would work but I am not familiar with them.

I assume the three way is a three way PIR and the lights that are flickering are electronic such as LED or CFL.

If you talk to one of the people where you bought the switch they may help you free of charge.

Good Luck

Reset instructions for PIR floodlight

There should be a screw adjustment under the PIR unit. Clockwise direction increases the amount of time it stays on and anticlockwise decreases the amount of time it stays on. It's usually a small hole which you can see a slot in which you turn with a screwdriver.

Pir connection

Can't see how that should be any problem. Use the switch from the PIR to turn on and off the power supply. Not after the 12v but before

User manual for fl09sbk light

It appears this device is rate 10 amps at 230 volts = 2300 watts.
Use at least #14 wire and 15 amp breaker.
Connect wire at connection point on light.
Unit appears to have a transformer, and might make humming sound.
There is override located somewhere on unit. Possibly as a button on the motion sensor

If infrared motion detector requires separate wiring connection, then use following wiring illustration:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/How-to-wire-motion-sensor-230V.jpg

Motion sensor will probably have 2 settings.
1st setting for sensitivity, so it will not activate when cat walks up driveway.
2nd setting for time duration, selectable from 30 seconds to 7 minutes

I have a Bravo 3P pet immune PIR and it says on the connector that the contacts are normally closed. Unfortunately they are normally open. Is there something that I am missing? Even the specs on the...

To work properly, this unit has to have normally closed loop circuit. With power applied, and no motion in its sight, should measure 000 ohms (plus any resistor value in series). When activated..the contact should show infinite resistance(open).
You are only missing something if you're testing it with you in the the motion area.

Trash it otherwise.

How to change the battery on a DSC PIR? I have removed the cover but could not see where is the battery. Thanks

If it is the PIR that uses 4 AA batteries, they are behind the circuit board. Grasp the sides of the board and lift up and away from the detector housing. The batteries should be at the top. See manual at link:

1. convert 10,000 Square meters to meters. 2. what will be the size of a room that can accommodate 300,000 cubic feet of fresh produce. 3. Thank you

  1. You cannot convert square meters (m²) to meters (m). The first unit measures an area, the second a length. You might as well ask, "what is the weight of two hours".
  2. There is no single answer without further constraints given. Even assuming a box-shaped room, it might be, for example 1ft x 1ft x 300,000ft or 100ft x 100ft x 30ft. Infinite more combinations are possible.
  3. My pleasure ;-)
