check your computers settings ie: firewall also he might have a default internet setting
check the leads from the modem/router whether usb, ethernet make sure they are not bad/faulty and have secure connections and try different ports

Conecting to wi-fi " the access point's security

There are several types of wireless security that wireless routers use to try to keep people that shouldn't be on your network off of it. Try going into your wireless access point's settings and changing the type of security it uses.

I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

Looks like conected but i cant get internet

Router might not be set up with the modem. Your router broadcast wireless signal when it is powered on, so even if it is not connected to a modem(where you get your internet from)you will have a local connection. That's normal. You need to set up the router. Call linksys technical support, if they cannot help try http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Router and Aol server not conected.

With AOL make sure you have set these values in the Netgear
ADSL settings as PPPOa
VC 0,38
MTU setting to 1400

If you still have problems

Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> select AOL Connectivity
click Add/Remove -> use the repair option

Follow instructions to repair.

Once complete make sure modem is configured and switched on and
try restarting AOL.

It will search for your connection, find it and allow you to log on.
Configuratin instructions can be found here
