Question about BUFFALO Shop HD-CX1.0TU2 1 TB USB 2.0 Hard Drive
From my experience, Buffalo is the worst brand when it comes to External Hard Drives. I had two of em already become faulty. I hope you have warranty because it sounds like you have a physical problem with the Drive. If it is not picked up by the computer, then that is not good because it will be most difficult to use file recovery programs. You may have to take it to data recovery specialists who can repair physical damage OR you can open it up and connect it directly into a desktop computer as another Hard Drive. (Sometimes possible if you know how). Good Luck
