Vista had notable incompatibilities with lots of things. I would think that the manufacturer might have provided updated drivers. Have you contacted the manufacturer or visited the site to see if there were updated drivers available.
If my guess is correct, this device worked OK in XP.

I am having installing my dynex wireles g usb adapter because it says the install driver is not compatible with windows 7 64 bit. Is there a way to install the driver?

I'd suggest installing the device drivers in the Compatibility Wizard. Remove that hardware device in Device Manager, right-click on the driver executable/installer file and select the Compatibility tab; click the checkbox before Run this program in Compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista in the list-down box; then try installing the device driver. In addition, you can use the Windows XP driver for testing.

If the problem still persists, please understand that Windows 7 is a new operating system (only the beta version) and whole driverstore has been reprogrammed; some old driver is not compatible with new OS. I suggest that you should wait for another period of time till the retail version is released and push the vendor company to upgrade their device driver. Thanks for your time and understanding!

Good Luck!

I have installed windows vista and when i try to install nero burning software 6 and nero media player message is displayed it is not compatible with this version of windows what should i do

General system requirements
  • Microsoft ® Windows 98/98SE; Windows 2000 (service pack 4 or later); Windows XP; Windows 2003 server
  • Microsoft® Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (All applications beside InCD and Nero ImageDrive work in the x86 emulator that allows 32-bit Windows applications to run)
  • Microsoft® Windows Internet Explorer 4.0 or later
  • LightScribe support is only available for Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later) and Windows XP or Windows MCE 2004 or greater operating systems
Current version is 10. There are a lot of driver differences between XP & Vista. I'd buy the new version. You could try compatibility mode but I suspect it won't work.

I installed Windows 7 on a laptop (HP DV2000) now the it give problems to come on, I tried over and over finaly i got Windows Vista 32bit on it, but it still giving the same problem, what can i do or how...

Windows 7 is designed for latest hardware and the Laptop you are using is quite an old. We will face compatibility issues.

I suggest you to run a Compatibility Advisor to know which Windows 7 version is compatible for your Notebook.

Advisor Tool
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/upgrade-advisor.aspx

Install the suggested version using an upgrade Disk. If you use retail version, you will face the driver compatibility issues.

All windows 7 driver will not available. But, you can use Vista driver for Windows 7 if it is installed using an upgrade disk

Dimage Scan Dual IV is it compatable with Windows 7 32 bit?

Right now, the Konica-Minolta site lists the scanner as discontinued and has no drivers for Windows versions later than XP. The Microsoft Compatibility site lists it as "Information Coming Soon" You can try the generic driver that Windows will try to install (check if you need TWAIN or WIA drivers) or download the current driver and try installing it with XP SP3 compatability mode (right click on the file, select Properties, then the compatability tab.

If those fail, there is another option in Win7 Pro or Ultimate. Download and install the XP mode from Microsoft (2 downloads/installs). Then install the scanner inside the virtual computer running XP that results. You may need to save images to external media to share them between the two computers.

I hope this helps.

Install the Drivers that are compatible with your current Operating System. If the drivers available with you are suitable for only Windows XP Operating System and you are installing them on a Windows Vista Platform in your computer then the compatibility problems will arise. If you are using a high end or a new version of the operating system download the drivers that are compatible with your Operating System.
