Echo t330 chainsaw has compression lock cant pull start cord

remove your spark plug and try to pull over. if it still won't turn over then you will have to decarbon your head or you have vapor lock so then with plug removed pull recoil and if fuel sprays out of plug hole keep pulling over until there is no more spray from hole. clean plug off. reinstall and try starting

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
Remove the muffler and clean out the exhaust port and screen. You will have to disassemble the muffler and clean off or replace the screen item 8 of this link:
http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=echo&mn=CS-330T++S%2FN%3A+C08611001001+-+C08611999999&dn=7946

Before taking the muffler apart... unhook the spark plug and just pull it though with the muffler removed. If it pulls normally you know you have found the problem.

If it still pulls hard...check the exhaust port of the cylinder head for 2 tiny holes (not screw holes) Some have them some don't depending upon the year of the saw. If you do find 2 small holes that appear clogged with carbon... do your best to clean them out.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My Echo CS starts fine but then will not accelerate. Sometimes, after it's warm, it will work OK, but more often, it acts as if the chain lock is engaged and almost wants to stall as the throttle is...

Can the chain be pulled by hand fairly easily? Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Inspect the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Try turning the H jet needle CCW about 1/8 turn--the engine should 4-stroke when running free at speed, but 2-stroke when cutting. Hope this helps!

Husqvarna chainsaw stops when using it

Check for spark after it quits. If none, the ignition module may be dying when hot. If ok, check the muffler for plugging. Use compressed air to remove sawdust from cylinder and head area. If everything looks good, note whether the spark plug is getting wet with fuel after trying to restart the saw. If dry, check the fuel lines for cracking or other deterioration. Make sure the fuel tank vent is clear of debris. (Loosen the fuel cap for a moment, then see if it will start.) Hopefully, one of these suggestions will hit on the problem!

I have predator and wont start

Does it have good compression? Is the muffler plugged? Is the spark plug wet after trying to start? If not, try a little starting fluid in the plug hole, and try to start. If you get a few pops, try resetting the carburetor H and L jet screws each 1-1/2 turns out from CW stops. It should run with these settings. Warm the engine up, then apply full throttle and adjust H CW until it runs fast, but 4-stroking. It should smooth out when cutting. Next, set idle L for fairly smooth idle, yet follow the throttle without lag. Adjust idle speed just below chain movement. Hope this helps.

My Echo CS 440 will not start

Pull the spark plug, dump in about half a teaspoon of fuel and try to start it. I think you have a carb problem or low compression.
