Need code for my siemen car radio GM050042333398

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Hi all....I've got a 2001 Fiat Punto, and after disconnecting the battery the radio is asking me for code. When I turn on the radio, it says

Most car radios need a code when theyve been disconnected , also some car radios are made to turn off after 20 mins use so that it cant be left on accidently , this is a battery saving idea , it can be bypassed though by rewiring a live connection to the radio rather than a connection through the ignition

My battery was disconected due to lose lead my radio wont work it needs a codethe radio has HM-5004 written on it i cant find my log book please help Carola

When the battery is removed the radio is reset as the power is cut off to the memory. This is a safety for theft and so the dealer always issues the code to the buyer. check your owners book or warranty book, if not call the dealership as the data base will contain the code.

Radio display says protect. does not emit sound.

Sounds like you have either a short in your speaker wire somewhere, wires touching in the back of the unit or a short inside the stereo itself... Try pulling the radio out and unhooking all of your speakers...Turn unit back on after all speakers are disconected...If unit still shows protect, then radio is bad...If it doesnt, power off and hook up speakers one by one and power it back on till it shows protect again....When it does, the last speaker wire you hooked up has either a crossed wire or the speaker is bad...

the unlock code varies from vehicle to vehicle and model to model, please check the owner's manual under radio and follow the instructions in the process you still have to knw the code for your radio which is usualy a sticker behind the radio unit itself un fortunately you have to remove the radio in order to read the code to instal it back into your radio
