Belt slipping

This is a common issue. Over time the belt stretches. You will need to adjust the tension on the running belt to alleviate this issue. If there is no adjustment room left, then you will need to replace your running belt and deck surface. The link below will take you to the products for your machine. Please use your serial number to narrow down your choices.

Our whirlpools dryer is heating but when i push the start button nothing happens. the light comes on when opening the door and timer counts down.

The drive belt has broken. Copy the model and serial numbers and go to an appliance parts store for a replacement. You will have to pop the top off by inserting a putty knife in the front corners to release the clips, and depending on how you dryer was built, remove the front or the back panel. Slip the new belt over the drum, move the belt tensioner to the side, then loop the end over the motor pulley.

Belt slipping have tried to tighten, just bought used

When the belt slips, it can be 2 different places. The trick is to look at the front roller when the belt slips. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt (between the motor and front roller) is loose and can't be fixed by tightening the walking belt. If the drive belt is slipping, it needs to be tightened or replaced. I need the brand and model number to help you further.

I have a 46 in cut yard man what is the belts sizes

Go with the original manufacturers belt - its dearer I know but cheaper in the long run. You can get cheaper belts that will fit and work for a few days but they are not designed to take the 'stress' that a mower can give a belt.
I tried the cheaper belt way and lost out - kept jumping off + other probs too.

New real belt is perfect so far - stays on and it don't slip like the cheapies do..

Hello, I have a MTD 13am67g088 lawn tractor, the reverse slips

First of all, Tom, go look at your tractor and get the complete Model number (there appears to be at least one number missing) and the serial number and post it here. I will try to help you if I have enough information.
You might want to inspect the drive belt that runs from the engine to the transaxle. If it is badly worn/stretched it won't work properly. Check it for tension as well When the brake is in the released position, it should be almost as tight as a fan belt on your car.

Install belt on cub cadet mower

First, make sure you have the model number and serial number (located under the seat) and then go to www.cubcadet.com to get a belt diagram so you know which way the belt snakes through the pulleys.

You will have to remove the two pulley covers on either side of the deck.

Fit the belt around the right side of the deck pulleys when you are on the left. There is an arm attached to the springed pulley on the left side. It will have a hole the size of a 3/8" driver/ratchet. Set the ratchet on unscrew (to the left) and push the arm in toward the center of the mower. You will see the pulley moving too, creating enough slack to slip the belt over the edge of the rim of the pulley with a little elbow grease. If it is too tight, get someone to push in with the ratchet while you slip it on. Once again, you are the grass cutter king!
