It may be getting the AC voltage feeding it but the switching power supply circuits may not be working, this can be due to shorted circuits, bad caps with domed tops, etc.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Panasonic Microwave NN-CT552W has no power - plug fuse ok - Has it got a thermal cut out or internal fuse? - Unit was ok after cooking some jacket potatoes

All microwaves has both internal thermal cut out and internal fuse, Yours problem sounds like an open 9 volts transformer that power up the front panel

I have a gear 4 blackbox bluetooth speaker which

It may have an internal fuse inside but you would have to open up the unit to check. If it does have a fuse it would be located near the power input jack. It is very doubtful that it has a fuse so more than likely you fried the power supply board inside the unit. You best bet would to bring it to someone who specializes in electronic repair and get an estimate.

If the source voltage, the fuse inside the unit are good someone has to follow the voltage in to see where it stops.

Projector is completely nonresponsive. Almost like it has no power. No lights on, etc. Yes, power cord is plugged in.

There is an internal fuse that may have blown. I urge caution however, as this fuse does not open without a reason. It is possible that a power supply problem is preventing the unit from starting up as well. Usually though, this would show at least a standby light. Unless you have previous experience with the repair of similar units, I would not suggest any attempts now. There are potentially dangerous voltages present inside these machines.

Please update this if there are any sympoms at all when you attempt to power up the unit.

Thanks,
Dan

GE JES1855 1100 Watts Microwave Oven not working. Display lights do not come on. Checked wall plug and it is ok.

Sounds like internal fault protection fuse blew. can be fixed by qualified technicians. their is very high voltage coils and capacitors within this unit and can cause harm or death instantly if not discharged properly.

DEAD, NO TURN ON, CHECKED INTERNAL FUSE OK

If the internal fuse is okay, then what you got here is a bad power supply. Many power supply's do die with the internal fuse intact what happends is the High voltage tranformer or relay goes out on you causing this to happed, Best thing to do is replace the unit becuase a new power supply would cost you more then the unit new. Let me know if you have any question.

Unit is dead, no display no turn on Worked fine one day, dead the next

it maybe the internal fuse tht has blown all microwaves have a monitor fuse inside some where the mains power comes in and some on the control pcb it does mean that a short circuit has accured but it can happen if the door is slammed you will need to remove the top cover of the unit to find the fuse and be very careful inside everything is very sharp and door make sure it is unpluged also inside a microwave i a large capacitor this can store power even with the unit off it should be grounded b4 working on the unit but a long as you are just changing the fuse you should ok do if you can use insulated pliers for your own safety,if u fit a new fuse and it blows again thn my advise would be to take it to a a repair shop as the high voltage side of your microwave is up to 4000-5000 volts

Ok , I replaced the fuse checked all connections and checked plug for power ! Still my lg lmv1630st will not show any power at all . What gives?

by replacing the fuse you meant the house circuit fuse or the microwaves internal fuse? and by conncetions your talking the internal wiring inside the case of the unit or wiring from the plug? if not its your 15 or 20 amp ceramic fuse inside the unit,if thats blown replace, but chk h.v.diode,v.v. cap, triac, control board, mis-adjusted interlock safety door switch, and lastly the mag could be defective
