Question about Hannspree 22" widescreen LCD Flat Panel HD Monitor

1 Answer

I had a resolution problem, lines were showing on the screen. I increased the resolution to 1280 x 1024 and the resolution problem is solved. But all my icons and windows are horizontal...not normal ratio to vertical... and I can't get them back to normal. How do I do this and keep the resolution setting?

You proabbly can't as this monitor's native resolution is likely 1680X1050.

I have a 22" monitor too, and everything looks wonky in 1024X768 (which my XP runs at)
In win7 or vista, it automatically sets it to 1680 X 1050 (a resolution I might add isn't even available to me in XP).
It's a welcome to Windows scenario in most cases!

Can I increase the screen resolution on my EV700B monitor higher than 800x600? How?

Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab - Screen Resolution move the slider to the right to increase the screen resolution.
If you cannot increase the screen resolution, it means the correct video driver was not installed generic VGA driver was installed.
In this case install the video driver for your graphics card and change the screen resolution.

1024X576 is the maximum resolution this laptop's screen supports.
There are other netbooks that support higher resolutions.

I have samsung syncmaster 740nw how can i increase screen resolution to 1024x768?

you cannot set the resolution to 1024x768 but instead try 1280x720 or if you have graphics card try to set the resolution using its custom resolution by setting 1280x768.
It will surely solve your problem.

Our Acer laptop will not show a whole screen of some websites. The monitor is too small. Is there a way we can increase this?

You can increase the screen resolution, however it will make the text and pictures smaller, but more will fit on the page..

Right click the background of your desktop, click personalize, click display settings, and on resolution increase the size one click at a time till it looks how you want it to look..

Or another way is to press control and the minus sign while your logged onto the web page itself your trying to view.

Width increases a bit on lowering and incresing resolution

Hence my earlier suggestion of lowering the resolution, it was actually a test.

Now we are getting somewhere. Yoke is definitely out, opposing diode pair is also out. The remote chance of the horizontal sync/oscillator is also out. That leaves us only with a possible resistor that has gone up in value (or is open) (least likely) and/or a capacitor (most likely) that has leaked, bulged or whose capacitance has gone down.

Perhaps a service manual would be of more help.

Good luck.

Text to small when printed out

may be your screen resolution is too low (things on the screen appear as big). Try increasing your screen resolution.

To do this. Right-click an empty area of desktop > click properties > Click setting > move the slider of the resolution tab towards the higher number.

Sometimes the application that is used to create or print the document may be set to a view level of low zoom size. increasing the resolution view size of the application should solve your problem.

It is recommended to use true type fonts they print in actual size.
