There is apparent power because as I stated, the engine turns over but won't fire. What is the IAC ? These are 8.2 Detroits so is there a fuel shut-off switch that isn't working or do you think it is an electrical problem at the ignitikon switch ?

Did you take it out of gear (push the black button on the throttle at the helm) and manually advance the throttle stick, resulting in you bypassing the IAC then try starting the engine? ----------- Do see the injectors fire when the key is first turned to the on position? Do you hear the fuel pump run, when the key is first turned to the on position? ----------- check if ignition is getting power.Try this :--- Run a jumper from the battery pos. to the coil pos. to ensure the ignition system is powering up.If there is no power then its ignition related problem.------- Check out this possibilities.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

There is fuel shut off solenoid.
If the solenoid is not stuck, then also it can be blocked or stuck up injector.
The fuel shutoff solenoid works off power, so when the key is turned on the solenoid energises and allows the injectort racks to travel to the full fuel posistion. So if your engine is running away you have a stuck injector. To test if injector is working or getting stuck then try this:---
Turn on ignition - hold throttle in full fuel then manually turn stopper , if one injector is stuck the stopper won,t move the throttle back to no fuel position .
    ------------
the iac means idle air control valve. Its located on throttle body.Try cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner and see if that helps. If not then its stuck of fuel pump solenoid or short in ignition. The short in ignition is rare,as you mentioned the engine turns over but won't fire. But still if other possibilities checked ok then short in ignition has to be checked to confirm the possibility.-------------------This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Were can I find serial no on 9.9hp mariner

Hi!
Your serial number is located on the lower starboard side of the engine block. A serial number is also located on the starboard side of the swivel bracket.

Here's a link to your service manual if you need it.
Hope this helps.

I want to unstall CS4 extended academic from my pc. But it won`t let me because it say`s I have adobe bridge open in another file/program. The problem is I can`t find where or what program it is. I don`t...

While I have CS5.5 products installed, I believe that CS4 installs exactly the same way.

You need to go to the task manager to stop 'bridge'. To do this click the 'ctrl, alt & delete' all at once.

Then select the 'applications' tab. Click on the 'bridge' icon. then click end task.

Done! You should now be able to do the install.

NOTE: This issue was caused by starting bridge when you start your system up. You might want to go to perferances in the bridge software and turn the 'start when windows starts' off.

Hope this helps you.

Good Luck!

When in truck mode my 465t will not warn of all weight station or low bridge locations. The truck height is set for 13'6", but there is no warning when lower bridge heights are encountered.

Have you tried gong to the Garmin web site an updating the software and the maps? If you have it updated it most likely does not know all the bridges and there heights and the weight station locations. Thanks for using fixya

Where do i find the serial number on my fx duo board

Take your cell phone and put it on it's camera setting. Then go to your Starboard and take a picture of the lower left of your Starboard (on the corner--facing the floor). That is where you will find the serial number. Look at the picture--there it is-the serial number!

1983 R100 A project bike I took on

Oil filter is on the right (starboard) front lower side of the engine case behind a plate with three fasteners holding it on. Strongly recommend using OEM filter as replacement. Strongly suggest you get with someone who has an "airhead" BMW and have them mentor you with the filter change process. Doing it IS easy. Doing it wrong can ruin you engine in short order.

Start sequence? "Choke" on, bike in neutral, clutch in, engine cut off switch in run position, turn key and use throttle as needed to keep it running. Have fun - great bike. Go to airheads.org for lots of info.

How to connect a 2 bank (4 batteries) to the 3 GUEST switches.

Sorry for the delay. I don't understand why they have the third "on/off" switch. Normally on a boat like yours, the set would be as follows :
Each pair of batteries would be jumped together to make a single large bank. We can then consider them "bank 1" and "bank 2" usually they will correspond to port and starboard.
Now you will take the positive lead from bank 1 and connect it to B1 on the port switch and then jumper it to B1 on the starboard switch.
You will do the same for bank 2 and the starboard switch.
The "common" on each switch will be your positive output to the motors corresponding them to port and starboard.
Now you can run your port motor with the port switch selected to battery 1 and the starboard motor with the starboard switch selected to battery 2.
Your emergency parallel is already built in. If battery bank 1 dies, you can start both engines with battery bank 2 and vice versa. Putting the switche(s) to the "all" position will allow you to start/run the engine(s) form both banks at once.
You can use the third switch to supply the "house" system. Take its power feed from the "common" terminal on either of the battery switches. In this way you can isolate which battery bank you use to draw power from for all of your accessories so there is no fear of you running a battery bank dead and being stranded. For example if your house feed is connected to the port battery switch and you have the port battery switch selected to bank 1 (port bank), should you run the battery dead listening to the radio you can simply start the starboard engine and then select "all" on the port switch. Now the starboard engine will be charging the port battery bank, bringing the house system back to life and allowing you to start the port engine.
In order for the system to work it is important that all of the battery and engine grounds be connected together in a central point (a common buss bar).
Dont forget that you cannot switch battery switches while the engines are running.
Good Luck!

Connection Issues Occur When I Try to Connect Through a Broadband Network Adapter

To resolve this issue, remove the network bridge. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click My Network Places. 2. In the left pane, click View Network Connections. 3. Look for any connection that is bridged. 4. Right-click the bridged connection, and then click Remove From Bridge. 5. Repeat step 4 for each connection that is connected with a bridge. 6. When the bridge is removed from each network adapter, right-click Network Bridge, and then click Delete. 7. Click OK. When the all the bridged connections and the network bridge are removed, the broadband hardware is automatically detected.
