Question about HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One InkJet Printer

Put in new ink HP office Jet 6500 and error comes up "Yhe print head appears to be missing or broken.

Lift the lid and Remove the offending printhead (K/Y or C/M)
With a q-tip moistened (not dripping) with bottled water, clean the CONTACTS only on the head, and in the printer.

"pound 6" the printer (click here for the procedure or paste this link in your browser address box http://www.fixya.com/support/r8534283-hp_all_in_one_printer_acting_up )

Reinsert the head when it complains it's missing.

The printer will whir and click and gyrate for some period...be patient.

If that doesn't fix the problem, you may need a new head. These are available where you buy your ink.

Check settings on page setup in your PC application (File - page setup) - it may be set to LIGHT or ECONOMY MODE or similar

HP Photosmart B210a error message


Simple. Remove the ink and printhead. You can remove printhead by pulling gray latch up and sliding printhead up and out. Clean printhead gunk off using warm running water. Remove any ink gunk on the right side of printer if you see any. Turn printer off and on. See if problem went away. If it did, try putting the cleaned printhead inside printer again. If problem comes back, seems like the issue is with a bad printhead. Below are video instructions on cleaning head manually. The printheads are not same. B210 printhead is not the same with HP 6500, but instructions are same.

I have a HP Office Pro L7580, model #C8187A. I am getting white horizontal lines across my documents. The white lines appear about every two to three inches. The top portion of the letters are missing


The black print head has a few blocked nozzles.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

My HP 6500 wont print black ink. It's like a very very light grey and I can't see it. Tried 2 new print cartridges and no luck. Please help.


Hello,

The HP 6500 printer has separate in cart and print heads. The light print you are getting is because the print head in clogged with dry ink. First thing to try is to go into the printer software on your computer and do a print head cleaning procedure, this will take a few minutes to finish. You may have to run this several times to clear out the dry ink. If this does not solve the problem when you will need to get a replacement print head, the part number is CB868-30002

The printer is not printing, ink is new


Ink means cartridges? but what about print heads?..go to tool box perform clean nozzles, check if not satisfied do this process twice or thrice. check print quality if you found yellow or black missed replace left print head, magenta or cyan missed replace right print head.. part number on print heads..

I have a hp 6500 officejet wireless printer that i jut put in new ink cartridge and all it does is print blank pages?


This happens as the ink needs some time to saturate the system. Usually one needs to print quite a few pages for the ink to flow through and get to the ink head. A better quicker way is to clean the ink heads with the aid of the software that came with your printer.

Navigate to your windows control panel and double click printers and faxes. Then right click on your HP Officejet 6500 printer and select properties. Then click the Print test page button. Check the manual for cleaning the ink head.
