Question about Dyson DC33 Bagged Upright Vacuum
With a small torx driver (not the folding kind, the screw driver kind) and some patience, the belts can be replaced pretty easily. They run about 10 bux for both (you may as well change both). Dyson, like most manufacturers, makes it seem difficult in the hopes that you'll send it back to them for repair, where they will most likely sell you the whole clutch assembly because its easier to replace than fiddling with belts.

DC33 is fitted with a Brush Control system which uses belts designed to last the lifetime of the machine, and which are not user-serviceable.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.
The belt on this machine is part of the clutch mechanism and as such we only recommend that a suitably qualified engineer carries out any repairs to this.
If you would like to talk through the options with one of our advisors, please contact our Helpline on 1866MYDYSON.

DC07s have two belts - one connects the output of the motor to the clutch, the other connects the clutch to the brush bar.
I suspect the belt you are to refering to is the one from the clutch to the brush bar. Unfortuenately the other belt is hidden under a plastic cover, so you cant see if it is okay or not without some dismantling. This cover is not easy to remove and requires a Torx driver to under the securing screws.
If, after removing the cover, the other belt is okay, then you have a faulty clutch. New clutches are available on eBay reasonably cheaply, but again good tools and DIY skills are required.
Have a look at www.dysonmedic.com which has some excellent info on dismantling and repairing your machine, but unless you have access to such tools, and feel confident to tackle it, it's probably time to call Dyson or a Vacuum repairer.

SOURCE: Where are the 2 filters
The first filter is located just above the canister and below where the brush and flat tool are stored. The second filter (Hepa) is located under the canister.
