Speaker jacks are simple units. If I couldn't find the proper connection jacks to the back of the speaker, I would remove the jack plate and connect the speaker wires internally.
Considering that this unit comes as a bundle it wouldnt be profitable for stores to carry the parts seperatly. The best bet here would be if it still is within the 30 return policy then to take it back to the store you purchased it from to swap out for another. Since Im sure this isnt the case or you would have already done this you can try to save a dime by searching ebay for part systems and repairing or replacing the problem part in your tray (specifically being the tray motor). Theres plenty of tutorials for similar products found on DIY.com. Heres a link...
Here is a manual that will server your purpose. It is not the exact same model manual to a 'T' but I looked it over real well and it is for your unit too. Your gonna go down to page 16. This is for a model SC-PT660. same unit really.
The center and rear speakers are off if the PLII is disabled, make sure it is enabled by pressing the PLII button in the remote, you should see it on the display
Use the same gauge that is supplied for the rear. Probably 24 gauge.Do it with the power off. If the wires touch with the power on the rear output IC will blow. Good Luck
I fixed the main problem. It has inputs, not labeled as such. one set right next to all the outputs labeled only aux.after plugging in to the TV outputs, and putting the unit on AUX, this was fixed. The surround speakers were harder to work out, After downloading the manual, I was able to get sound out of them, however at a lower level than all the others. Even following the speaker level adjustments in the manual, cant get more volume out of them...I'll keep trying.
I also have the same problem
