I can use my left and right buttons and the curser is not moving

There may be a "touchpad lock" button on your laptop. Check to make sure that it is not enabled as this would cause the touchpad to not work.

If you still cannot get it to work, try plugging in a USB mouse and restart your computer, which should re-enable it or just power cycle the laptop.

If it still does not return to normal, your laptop's touch panel may be broken. An easy fix is to get a wireless mouse.

My acer laptop curser not moving

Press Ctrl + Del + Alt keys at the same time. This brings up the Task Manager. Close any process that is not responding and freezing the computer. If all else fails press your computer power button and keep pressing until it restarts, hopefully normally.

Black screen with blinking curser in left top corner

Hold the power button down and let it fully power off then boot it back up. If you get a prompt saying Windows did not shut down normally, select Last Known Good Configuration.

Curser probs on screen on my laptop

first of all try and use the usb mouse and if it works then try to use the cursor in the safe mode and then and u can also upgrade ur RAM.
turn on the computer and then let it be like that for say one minute and then turn off the laptop and disconnect the ac adaptor and then take out the battery and after that press and hold dwown the power button without the adaptor and the battery for one minute and then turn ono the computer only with the adaptor and check it out and then disconnect the adaptor and turn on the computer with only battery and again try and after that try and uninstall and reinstall the touchpad driver and then restart the computer and try it should work and still if it doesnt work then replace the touchpad.

Erratic curser, jumping

Go to my computer, right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager, then look down the list for mice and pointing devices, click the '+' sign and right click on your touchpad and select uninstall, do the same on the keyboard line and then restart the pc.

Both touchpad and keyboard will be reinstalled and then ready to use again as it should be back to normal

Touchpad on laptop

You should have a little icon in the right corner of your taskbar, right click on the touchpad icon and click enable.

If that does not work, right click on my computer icon, properties, hardwrae tab, device manager, look down list for mice and pointing devices, click on the + sign, select synaptics(if that's the make) and select uninstal.

Restart laptop and the drivers will automatically re install and should work as normal
