Creative Technology Inspire T6060 5 Speakers Logo
Anonymous Posted on Mar 17, 2011

I've got a used creative inspire t6060. Connected all, no sound. There's green light on the remote wired control, power supply measured fine: 18.5V AC from transformer, and also 18.5V DC at the big capatitor. How do I continue troubleshooting ? TIA, Naphtali

    thanks bronk50.
This is NOT a PC/OS/driver issue. I also tests it with audio input without any PC.
    It is an electronics issue.

try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

It is not a problem with the PC sound output. It is the speaker system problem.
The PC (laptop) sound is OK.

which operating system? if there is a green light on the remote control all should work
it might be a driver issue or a conflict with your operating system and your used creative inspire t6060

Humming sound cumin from my creative inspire 4.1 woofer

Make sure that you've fully pushed in the jack to the sound card.....maybe you've not connected the jack into the correct socket on your soundcard as there are usually 3 identical sockets...but only 1 is the correct one. Sometimes colour-coded green. Try it in each one in turn. If you have headphones, try plugging them in as you will hear sound in them when you've got the correct socket!

Here's the Creative - Support web page:-

http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=65071

Its an article entitled "Remote/Control pod faulty" Worth a read, could resolve your problem.

If not, then have a look at their "Store" by clicking on the tab at the top, if still no help, then try their "Contact Us" tab, ask them where or how to get a replacement.

Is there a way of attaching my inspire T6060

Yes you can connect your speaker as a part of your Samsung TV. All of you have to do is to find any available jack for output on your TV, then plugin the the speaker connector pin in the jack.
