If have to replace the service door (large side door), the cooker heat warped it and it doesn't close. I've ordered a new door, but I can't figure out take off and replace the door. Doesn't look like ordinary bolts used.
    Thanks

Hi, the service door, full right hand side got warped with cooker heat and needs replacing as it won't close, giving an error.

I've order a new door, but I'm not sure how to take of the old one and put new one on. Doesn't look like standard bolts holding it on.

  • amby666 Mar 27, 2011

Yes, I've bought the part - the door, but the 'bolts' aren't list as a part and I'm asking what kind they are and what tool I use to open...

each product has a number of models and different parts. the time of each replacement must be guided by the product model number. but sometimes there are hardware parts are not the same model can still be installed on a different model, according to the compatibility of these parts and the equation. in your case if there is no equality, should you find parts that are specific to the model of your equipment to avoid more serious damage occurs.

as said earlier, parts for a model is not the same and has its own spare parts. but if you already have it, the installation must be done properly to avoid the error occurred. If you have difficulties to change it you should make a continuing review to ensure that your installation meets the installation steps correctly. in your case, to ensure the right tools to do the replacement work, you must be referring to these parts to ensure your needs and habits of the screw driver, alan keys or depending on current needs.

Why after descaling my new Seaco Syntia coffee machine, it stops while brewing and it requires being primed over and over.

Syntia and Brera machines are made by Saeco. Brera is marketed under the brand name Gaggia (owned by Saeco).
The causes for this malfunction can be due to following in order as stated:
1- The machine was not descaled or it was descaled using products. that are labeled as descaler but they are not. After extended period of not descaling, one may have to use more than one cycle of descaling to remove accumulated depsits of Calcium in the water system.
2- The grind setting of coffee is too fine. Make it coarser by one notch toward coarser setting at a time.
3- The pump is losing its pumping pressure and not pudhing water through the coffee. Replace ULKA pump with an Invensys pump model CP3.
All fully automatic machines are convenient and make classic shots of espresso from bean to the cup at the push of a button. With this simplicity, owners forget its maintenance until machine stops working. Please pay attention to descaling every three months. No excuse is good enough.

Syntia out of service code?

If it is under warranty ,call the manufacturer .There are many causes to the service code , coffee beans ground too fine ,setting for 3 beans may be too much if the beans are small, try setting with one bean...
Valve, round cover , spring loaded , on top of brew group dirty, metal valve pin may be covered with deposits from coffee oils . check manual or call a service center , screen of bottom piston plugged with coffee oils , to silver screen plugged with coffee oils .
none of the super-automatics like oily , shiny or over roasted beans .

My Syntia is about 1 yr old and the display shows a red wrench with the #4 in the lower right corner. What does this mean and where is the nearest service center? I live in Oklahoma.

This is a brew unit blocked error. Try turning the machine off for a few seconds and then powering back on. If this does not correct the problem, then the machine needs to go to a service center unless you are very handy. We are located in Houston, and probably your closest service center. Some of the service centers, such as ourselves, do provide free tech support over the phone and may be able to talk you through it.

Saeco Royal Digital Plus - I cannot insert the brew unit into the machine

Hi Remove the dredge drawer. Open the right side door. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle and pull carefully, but firmly. The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door, insert the dredge drawer and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door, pull out the dredge drawer and insert the brew group. Done PS: If it still won't go in you might have a broken brew drive. The gear in the back of the machine where the brew unit goes has 2 large teeth. They should be in the 10:00 and 12:00 position. If they are in the 3:00 and 5:00 or that side you have a broken drive and the gears need to be replaced.

Steady Brew Group Light: Old Saeco Magic deluxe

Open the door on the right. The brew unit is the thing with the handle that has the push on it. You need to push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. There is an outlet spout on the opposite side of where you are pushing. It goes into an intake port that needs to be lubed, so the outlet spout will slide in without pushing back. That should take care of the missing brew unit.
