You should be able to take it to a shop where they have electronic techs, even a TV shop and they should have it repair under a hour.

How do I get rid of the static sound in my 4PR908?

There causes varies from types of headset to another. In respect of a wireless headset, the static sound is caused by interference. Whereas in a cord headset, a loose wire somewhere in your headset or cord is responsible for the static sound or crackle. It might also emanate from the mic in respect of a one calling, or from the ear-piece.

The solution with a wireless headset is to move away from any device e.g computer which might have cause the static sound. Resetting the wireless headset is also a solution measure.

In the case of a cord headset; Get the cord wiggled at the plug and at the headset; and then move the mic to locate the loose connection. Where the problem occurs, loop the wire, taping it down at the point. soldering the affected wire is best than taping.

Finally, if the static sound persist;which it should not after all the treatments; check on the volume of the device. Reduction of the device volume can go a long way to bringing the longed solution. Similar problem occured with my headset;and was solved via the same recommended possibility.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.

The speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side

you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make

sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity

Clean your computer of dust using a can of compressed air or a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit.

If you use a vacuum cleaner dont use one with a metal pipe if it touches anything on your motherboard it might short something out.

dust causes static to build up in a computer

hope this helps

Static with mike

Static can be caused by many things. Are you to far from the receiver. If you put it on a padded surface does the static continue, if so it may be local interference. If not it is probably something loose in the microphone. If all else fails Go to Shure.com look under support, you can get a price list and where to return it for repair.

What adapter if any can be used for dell2400 to connect wireless

Most of the wireless adapters available now are compatible to all the computer system.
You can just buy a wireless adapter to any electronic/computer store and it should work after installing the software/driver that came in with the device.

Note when buying any device for your computer:
Always check for the Operating system compatibility of the device.
e.g. : if you have a windows XP system, make sure that the device is compatible with it.
Do the same if you have windows vista, 7 or any other operating system.

Thanks,

ProStar UB12. When I turn on the wireless, I get occasional static that is irritating to the point I cannot use it. Is there a fix?

I had the same problem. Mostly, when using near energy saving fluorescent lighting. I would receive high static, especially when the mic was off. We were using it indoors & usually no more than 200 ft from the receiver. I opened it up, resoldered some poor solder connections, sprayed contact cleaner on the squelch & volume controls, but still had the problem. What actually resolved the issue, was turning the squelch control (thru back panel) fully clockwise & completly lowering the antennas aimed horizontally to the rear. If you are using it outdoors, you should not have interference from fluorescent lighting, but may need to raise the antennas if operating from a greater distance.

Buzzing static sound in speaker

Static can be caused by a few things.

Does the static persist if you unplug the audio cable from your computer?
If so, the static is being caused by the amplifier built in to your speakers.
If not, the static is probably caused by interference on your sound card. Try plugging the speakers in to a portable media player. You might need to replace the sound card in your computer.

Sounds like an I.P. problem. If set to "Dynamic", try "Static" IP. Had a similar problem with my Linksys wireless camera. It worked...than it didn't. Sounds eerily similar.

Installing hard drive on this model

Hi,
Sure why not.
You,ll need a ribbon cable also 40 or 80 strand IDE Cable. to connect from hard-drive to Motherboard. If you have an existing connector already in. this should be In IDE 1 Or Primary slot ( on motherboard ) there should also be a secondary IDE Slot.
connect ribbon to IDE 2 Or secondary slot, and to hard-drive.
ensure the jumper on the hard-drive is set to Slave Or Master, if your running another device from that same cable, set to Master/Slave alternate to hard Drive.
Good luck and go for It.
Power Off first.
Motherboards are,nt too happy about Static.
