In your workplace (or wherever you are located) the Facebook URL is blocked and cannot be viewed there. It is common practice for many employers to block sites such as this and other social networking sites.

If this is their policy then I'm afraid there may not be much you can do.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have restricted access to facebook on my network using sonicwall NSA 240 firewall by adding www.facebook.com in restricted domains. if someone tries to access it directly he is not getting the site. But...

Isn’t the internet great?

Well the way that these filters work is that they look for the EXACT address: www.facebook.com. To fix this you’ll want to add https://www.facebook.com and http://www.facebook.com. This will help the filter to see all combinations and block them all.

Let me know how this turns out!

If you are using an Internet connection supplied by your school or your employer, then they have the right to block "time-wasting" (also known as "social networking") sites.

Site blocked. facebook.com is not allowed on this network.

If you are using your school's network, or your employer's network, then you probably clicked "I Agree" to allow the network administrators to manage the network any way that they want to, including blocking "time-wasting" sites such as Twitter and FaceBook.

Hi, I'm trying to block a website, so no one in my family can access to it on any computer from the house, how can I do this? Thanks you for your help!

A PDF copy of your manual can be found here,,,

http://files.dlink.com.au/products/DI-524/Manuals/DI-524_G2_Manual_3.00.pdf

You want to go to page 26/97 (based on PDF above)

Here you can enter the "domain name" of the site you want to block.

example:

Click "Allow users to access all domains except Blocked Domains".

If you wanted to block "www.xyzzy.com" you would enter "www.xyzzy.com" into the "Blocked Domains" box, then hit "Apply". You enter whatever site you want blocked, no "http://", just the actual name, again, as example, www.xyzzy.com.

You may need to reboot your router after you are finished.

For some reason I am unable to get onto facebook however anyother websites are fine....like my computer is blocking facebook?

ping the face book site
that is go to the DOS prompt and type ping www.face book.com this will give give 4 replies back if the site is responding. If not then you have a firewall issue or a DNS (Domain Name service) issue.
Ping this ip 66.220.153.15 if you get the site with this then there is a problem with the DNS.
