Make sure you are not inserting the CD upside down. If the CD is running then you do not have to worry because every CD drive does make some noise as the CD spins in the CD drive.

I have a Panasonic CF-72 Hdd crashed, just plugged in new Toshiba Hdd. How do I install Windows 2000. Have new CD disks

1. You would need to prepare the drive for installation of Windows (seeing that it is brand new)

2. It should have come with a CD, put the CD in the drive boot up and follow the process

If u tell me the Model of the Toshiba HD I can find instructions for preparing the drive for you.

- Once the Drive is prepared (meaning u have created a logical partition) THEN

- Put the Windows CD in the drive, boot the PC and follow the instructions:

Here's a Great Resource to help u with the installation: LabMice

BootDisks (this should come in handy one day)

I just bought an ASUS desktop pc, cg series and the cd/dvd drive will not open. How do i fix this or do i need repairs?

If you bought it BRAND NEW - take it back - if 30 days has gone by - then send to the manufacturer and let them know its coming.
(the manufacturerer of the CDROM that is ) tell them your sending a defective product back (i am assuming you didnt use it as a cup holder and break it) lol
they have a 1 yr warrenty on it most likely.. which means they hope it wont **** up before 1 year.
Hope this Helped x404x

How can i restore the laptop to its original shop bought condition

Itwillbe one of two ways depending on the manufacturere

1) If when you bought the laptop you were given resotration CD's then it is a case of putting the CD in and then restarting the PC and following the on screen instructions

2) Other laptop brands have the recovery on the hard drive, in this case depending on the brand you will find it under

Start> My programs> Brand name

And this folder there will be something called system reformat, factory setting etc

Please leave feedback/vote if my answer was helpful

step 1. open up the case and locate your hard drive
step 2. carefully remove the cables and power to the hard drive and remove it
step 3. goto your local office depot, staples, walmart or radio shack and buy a nice new hard drive somewhere around 250 gigs should be plenty for you,
step 4. now that yopu have a nice new hard drive put it in the spot where your old hard drive was in the conputer and plug both cables back into the new hard drive, after this is done put your case back on and start the computer up with your windows cd in the cd rom drive and reinstall windows. :) hope this helps

Insert disk to drive E even there is a cd in (some times it works and some times not) and i have sound error C00B11B1 (some times error appear some times not) :S i got this laptop newly less then 1 month

If you bought this new then you should talk to HP about the problems you are having. If it is still under warranty then maybe they can replace the cd player for a new one.

Trutech MP3 player issue...

I had copied the songs into the voice folder on the drive. We moved them to be new folders along with the voice folder and it works fine. I just hope it lasts longer than some other peoples. I should have read up on this brand before I bought it.

Thanks for checking on me!

Laptop CD/DVD Drive

In order to copy files to a CD like a hard drive you need a program that can treat the CD like a hard drive. Sometimes called *drag and drop or drag to disk*, is this what you?re using and if so what program are you using?
