Hi,

Click on the link below which will take you to Rival's instruction manual page. There doesn't seem to be a manual for a gc9101 but there are manuals for gc8101 and other similar models which may be of use to you.

Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer in order to download & read the manual. Adobe Pdf reader is available for free download from www.adobe.com

Best wishes,
Graeme

Canister doesn't fit tightly on base.

Hi Becky, it's Jack at Dyson.

From what you've described, it sounds like part of the machine isn't assembled correctly. This may explain the unusual noise and the change in performance you've noticed, as a leak in the airflow system may occur if part of the cyclone assembly is fitted incorrectly.

It's worth removing the cyclone pack and clear bin again to make sure everything is attached together as normal, and nothing is out of place. Keep an eye out for any accidental damage that may have been caused.

If you're still not sure after you've given this a go, our experts would be happy to offer some further advice. You can reach us directly by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Why won't my Rival vacuum sealer vacuum?. It just hums when I push the vacuum button.

see the next steps and follow with common sense: God bless you

If the noise is coming from the motor area it may be a broken fan blade, if it's broken replace it. If the noise is coming from the brush area then it may be a defective brushroller bearing or brushroller, if either is defective it needs to be replaced.
Inspect a) power cord b) outlet wall c) thermal FUSE very important.d) see any debris see diagram attached.

Have lost my manual for the Rival Electric Fondue Pot and wondered if I could download instructions on how to use it.

Yes, you can. Rival has an excellent customer support website.

Go here:

http://www.rivalproducts.com/help.aspx?helpNav=5

...and scroll almost all the way down to 'Treats' and in the 'Fondues' subsection, pick out your model.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

I took my dyson apart to clean it and it will not click into an upright position.

This is a common problem easy to fix but tricky to explain so please bare with me...You need to put the machine on it's side and if you take the handle and move it up to the point where it stops and won't go any further stopping it from being able to go straight up and lock into place. You need to look at the spot that it is touching and the spot you are looking for should be attached to the foot pedal that let the handel down. The pedal pulls a piece of plastic out of the way so that it can fall back, what has happened is the piece of plastic has moved into lock position but the handle is behind it. you need to manually pull the plastic piece that is attached to the foot pedal out of the way so you can get the handle up straight and then let the plastic piece go and it should be in the right position at this point.
This is the best that I can explain it without being there to show you so please take your time and look at it carefully and you should be able to with my instructions I have given you get it back to normal.
If this has helped you please remember to click on the yes box on your way out and good luck! thanks again for choosing Fixya!

I have been given a second hand avent steam steriliser but have no instructions. e.g. how much water should be put in etc

You have not mentioned the capacity of the container but if it is the one litre type anything from half litre to a litre is good, the coils must be submerged and not to be heated dry beacuse it will blow off.

I have a whispertone vacuum, different model #, but maybe instructions will be the same. Turns out I didn't need a new belt, just clean out the crud and reset overload protector. The instructions in the manual tell you to remove the light cover and bulb first. To do this, press in and lift both sides. Push in and turn bulb counterclockwise to remove. (you need to do this because the next step involves turning the unit over). This takes you to
Step 2. Unscrew the cover screws ( on either side of bulb).
Step 3. Turn unit over. To remove cover, insert screwdriver at cover tabs on both sides and twist to release tabs.
Step. 4 Turn unit right side up. Press handle release pedal and lower the swivel. Tilt cover forward from back until front snaps free.
Step 5. Carefully insert and twist screwdriver at each brush support to free brush from base.
Step 6. Remove worn belt.
Step 7. Slide brush supports off to check and clean brush support areas.

To replace belt: slide washers and brush supports onto brush assembly.
Install new belt over motor drive, then over brush sprocket.
Snap brush supports into place on base. Be sure brush supports are not upside down.
Line up front of cover and base. Rest cover on front edge of base. Tilt cover to back. Press cover firmly until side tabs snap into place. Replace cover screws, light bulb and light cover.
