Look on the front of the drive. There should be a hole. Use a bent out paper clip to push into the hole and the drive should open. ;)

If its not a tray type drive, and you simply have a CD slot without a pinhole. As long as your Alienware m17x is powered on, you can eject it manually by using the touch sensitive buttons above the number pad. It should go from left to right "Eject, Reverse Track, Play/Stop, Forward Track, Volume Down, Volume Up, Wi-Fi Toggle, Alien Command Toggle, Performance Meter Toggle."

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do you eject a cd from an alienware 14

you should be able to see a very small pin hole on the cd rom itself.
Get a paper clip and unfold it, insert the longest end into the hole until it hits something and give it a push.
You can also go to the cd\dvd rom and right click- eject

Cd will not eject by pushing eject button

To fix this, you might have to (re-)install the Intel Optical Disk Driver from the official Dell website (and probably reboot afterwards): http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/22/DriverDetails/Product/alienware-x51?driverId=9CVWK&fileid=2860806832

An alternative (temporary ?) 'workaround' is clicking the 'My Computer' icon on your Desktop, select the DVD-Drive, right-click and select 'Eject' ...
