Question about Fisher and Paykel DEGX1 Electric Dryer
HI we have a nearly 2 yr old F&P DE09 model electric dryer. Just recently it's taken to starting, getting hot (as it should) then shutting off - dial stops, everything stops. You can't always restart it, it seems to require an "off period" before resuming. It works correctly (runs through a cycle and dries the load of clothes) about avery 5th time.ANy thoughts? And, we did try unplugging it for 2 mins to try and reset the camputer - no improvement.
thanks Karin and scott
It sounds like the thermal fuse is bad. if you take the front cover off you will see a fuse with a red button. that might be what is causing it
