SOURCE: it makes buzzing noise and doesnt work

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

SOURCE: wont spin and makes a buzzing noise in all cycles.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.26912691

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The Kenmore / Whirlpool top load uses a reversing motor to initiate the pump for draining and the transmission to spin.

Since the washer will drain the problem is not in the Lid Switch (which tends to happen quite often with these washers)

The problem does however point to the Neutral Drain Assembly.

This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a detailed section on how the transmission works.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

Those cams/gears etc. in that assembly keep the washer from spinning until all of the water is pumped out and then go into spin mode.

The buzzing sound that you hear could be the small cams in the assembly trying to connect with the main spin gear.

Ours had basically the same problems.

After looking at the transmission parts list (available on a number of sites) and on the Whirlpool site (Whirlpool makes Kenmore) we noticed that the one of the cams in the neutral assembly which is supposed to have a small spring, didn't on ours when we tore the transmission apart again

http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Repair%20Part%20List%20-%20W10114743.pdf

Found the part number for a kit (Whirlpool part number 388253 Neutral Assembly) for $15.00 and replaced the cams and gears.

In order to get the transmission out, you have to remove the cabinet, the fabric dispenser and both agitators. The top agitator uses a plastic 1/2" drive bolt (a 1/2" socket extension works well).

You don't have to remove the drum.

See the following for how to access the transmission.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137

Lay the machine down (after disconnecting power and hoses, remove the pump (two clips), the motor (two screws hold two clips on the motor), lift and set the motor aside.

Remove two 1/2 inch bolts for the motor mounting plate and three 1/2 inch bolts for the transmission.

Pull the transmission, remove the clutch (there is a spring clip that holds the clutch on the main agitator shaft), remove the 8 screws carefully the transmission holds 14 - 15Oz of oil, remove the clip holding the main spin gear on and check the plastic cams.

If the cam that should have a spring doesn't, or the others look damaged, or the main spin gear is damaged the washer won't go into spin mode.

If that's the problem, install a Neutral drain kit, put everything back together carefully and the problem may be solved.

As an aside, fixing ours cost less than $30 including 80-90 weight gear oil vs. $170 for a new transmission.

My electrolux EOU43002X oven bottom fan recently stopped. it also coincided with a buzzing from the timer panel. I replaced fan motor but timer wont work and the buzz still there when the timers tried

According to the convection fan which does not work, I suggest checking the main oven selector, wiring and convection fan.
According to the timer you should first set the time and then verify the correctness the timer relay. If relay is open than completely oven will not work.

Microwave makes a loud buzzing noise

The buzzing sound could be from loose laminations on the high voltage transformer, or from loose mounting screws for the transformer. This requires investigation by a qualified technician as there are lethal voltages associated with the transformer. It could also be from a loose cover. First check that all the cover screws are tight.

Electrolux Washer dryer EWW 1273 banging

I think a sensor is being faulty when you load and go to use the unit. Also might want someone to check out the timer on the unit just in case it is going out on you.

Electrolux fridge in my caravan will run on gas,

Hi it sounds time to pull it out and give the ignition box a good blow out to remove dust and cobwebs. Also remove the jet in the supply pipe where it screws on to burner box. Just wash and clean it dont poke anything in the jet hole. Graham

My Nikon dx40 camera stalls and only sometimes takes photos

its a ver common problem the battery you are using is not good.its working but is at the end of its life.many a times when battery cannot function properly resulting in less power to the camera then what is required.the camera cannot work properly and makes buzzing or crackling sound. in that case replacing the battery will solve the problem.also check the lens part which moves in and out.--sometimes the lens is **** up and jammed and this can also cause the camera to not work properly.but the 99% chances are of faulty battery.
thanks for using fixya.keep updated. please do not forget to accept and rate this solution positively.

Amana/Maytag ACD2234HRS sometime not working

If your compressor is running with the noise you described, I would make sure the parts that were replace on compressor are working properly. Also use a amp meter and get a reading on amp draw while it is humming. Anything that is above normal readings for the compressor would indicate compressor is bad or the relay and starter are not working properly. I need a series number also like a number 15 before the model number, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Buzzing noise, wont work???

The magnatron is shorting, overloading the high voltage transformer. From the picture this looks like an older unit and is probably not worth a magnatron replacement.
