Question about Whirlpool LER5636P Electric Dryer
We moved to an older home and when we set up our washer and dryer the dryer stopped working. It woked but did not heat up. the clothes were still wet. We took it to get repaired but they told us there was nothing wrong with it. we tried it again. Few months later we decided to just buy another one. It is a Roper and did the same thing. I mentioned to my husband that it may be somthing with the vent which goes down to the basement...not outside. We also checked the voltage it measures up to 220, .......please help.
The problem could be the wiring in the house. the dryer not only needs 220v but also a good ground/neutral. this is a common misunderstanding when people test their outlets with a meter. this is happening too frequently to be a problem with the dryer(s)
