Get a different phone because if you had trouble with the first and second, chances are if you get another one it's going to be a lemon.

Unfortunately Snow Leopard requires a intel processor to work so the G5 imac will not be able to run the system.

Imac G5 3 rd gen 17 inch I sight EMC 2081 had a blown cap which I replaced. Now, startup light goes on , blinks a few times, stays on for maybe 15 seconds then goes off. No chime

These version on iMac has a known issue with the capacitors (as you might know) when replacing the capacitors you will need to replace ALL capacitors on the logic board AND power supply.
After doing that there is no guarantee that it will fix the problem. You might have fixed one, but that one failed capacitor might have caused other things to fail. I would cut your loss and recycle it.

G5 keeps powering up for a few mins then switches off?

Thank you for contacting Fixya Support, I am glad to assist.

There are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

Try a PMU Reset:
* Turn of your iMac if it is already turned off
* Disconnect all connections to the iMac except the power cord
* Now disconnect the power cord for approximately 20 seconds
* Reconnect just the power cable the keyboard, mouse and power cord, and then power your iMac G5 up.

* Check to see if the iMac boots up normally without power interruption.

* If the iMac G5 shuts off again, try these steps, another recommendation would be to remove all connections including the power cord, and lay the iMac G5 on soft cloth face down and with a philips screwdriver, remove the plate on the bottom of the iMac G5 where your RAM memory is located.
Before removing the RAM however, touch your hand on the metal boot to discharge any static current you carry for approximately 5 seconds.

Now remove each RAM card and then reseat (re-install) each card.

Restore the RAM card cover with your Philips screwdriver, reconnect your power cable, keyboard an
d mouse and turn on your iMac G5.

See if this second procedure helps if the first procedure does not work.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards

Isight intermittent. G5 Imac 17" The Isight cam I have now dubbed 10sec cam turns off and has to be restarted.

I understand from your problem statement that the internal iSight camera in your G5 iMac turns itself off around 10 seconds after you turn it on.
Create a new temporary user in System Preferences / Accounts. Log out and then log in as this user. Enable the camera. Does it still turn off in 10 seconds? If not, something running in your other user account (a startup program or system preference) is interfering with the operation of your camera.
If you have a spare external drive, install a fresh version of the Mac OS on that drive, then boot from that drive. Does the camera still turn off in 10 seconds? If not, you should run an OS installation with "archive and install" on your internal drive. If it does, you have a hardware problem that requires a Mac tech. If this is indeed a G5 iMac, the repair will likely not be cost-effective.

My iMac G5 1.8 GHz 2GB ram computer desktop

Hello
If you can run it in safe mode, that means that you have an extension problem. I had most of the time problems with the ATI extensions.
First of all try too boot on another account, an new one would be good, to check if this is not account related.
Secondly i would reinstall the system (a clean install would be good, tough you can try an archive-install)
Thirdly if it isnt fixed I would delete all ATI extensions instead of the one that your graphic card uses. to delete: go to /System/Library/Extensions .
Hope that helps

iMac G5's cannot run windows alone, but older software can be purchased like Virtual PC to run windows on that unit.
