Question about Fortinet, Inc. FortiGate 310B (FG310BBDLUS) Firewall

Open Question

I have Fortigate 310 fortigate firewall, which used to generate logs locally as well sent logs to remote fortianalyzer and syslog server. It is still generating logs locally but suddenly it stopped generating remote logs......when i execute command diagnose sniffer packet any 'udp port 514' 4, i get source interface as public ip of that firewall which should have been a private ip, i dont know all of a sudden how it has happened......we had this interface problem with 110C fortigate firewall also that time we had upgraded firewall and in the upgraded firmware we got an option to set source ip config log syslogd setting set status enable set server "172.16.15.55" set facility audit set source-ip 172.16.60.1 end which had solved our problem. But my concern without this command also it should work as logs were getting generated before in this FG 310B firewall without set source ip command...........

SOURCE: Sir, We have Fortigate 800 firewall.

You shall modify the access profile on firewall and apply it to that user.

Or include that user in the same group of other users.

How to export log from CISCOASA?like other cisco device logging 1.1.1.1 i want similar kind command in CISCO ASA

ASA's log is usualy stored localy on ASA itself, so easiest way to export that log is to go with telnet/ssh/console on it, do a command : show logging and copy/paste output into a new file.
but beware - this log is really short and as soon as ASA is rebooted - it's gone.
you could set asa to log to a syslog server (free on linux/freebsd or for windows use KIWI app).
that way all ASA log output is stored on pc/server running your syslog server.

I wanna open port for my DVR dvr is :- ip 192.168.1.88 cmd port 9201 video port 9202 and my router is fortigate60 i hope any one can give me full solution best regards

You will need the router login info, then using a browser go to:

https://192.168.1.99

That will bring you into the settings area of the router. Then do one of two things, find Port Forwarding, and forward the public 9201 & 9202 to the DVR at 192.168.1.88 port 9201 and 9202. Make sure to do this for both UDP and TCP.

Another and easier option, is to go to your DMZ setting. Just turn DMZ on and set it to 192.168.1.88.

Doing it with the DMZ will take care of any ports that need forwarding, they will point to the 88 machine (your DVR).

Good luck!
