You didn't mention the manufacturer of the adapter.Most manufacturers, you can go to their site & click the "Support" section, and from there you should see "downloads" or "drivers", where you should be able to find the most updated driver.
However, it is possible that it there is not a 64 bit version available, depending on how big the company is, and when the item was actually manufactured. Many older devices, the manufacturer's did not bother to develop 64 bit drivers for, if there is a newer version of the product out... they'll usually abandon support for the older devices.
