my machine is an IBM, thinkcentre, Product ID is 8294KAA. the former drivers were realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC wan miniport (IP),
all the WAN miniport driver cannot be uninstalled
cant connect to the LAN nor the Internet

what OS are you running,
Try removing it and reinstall
if it persists then try another card
update drivers and this should fix the problem
another thing also worth thinking about....
Maybe time to consider formatting the system and reloading it again with a fresh install.
