First of all try to connect external keyboard if its working then replace ur internal keyboard and if external keyboard is not working then then motherboard is faulty may be keyboard connector is faulty or keyboard controler chip is faulty

I'll be typing anything and my cursor will randomly reset to an earlier place causing me to constantly correct my work. I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 15.

Mine does this quite often when I am typing. I have discovered that my hands are touching the mousepad while I am typing and will randomly put the mouse in the middle or just about anywhere in the document I am typing. The next time this happens take note of where your hands are and if they may be slightly touching the mousepad. It took me quite some time before I figured out what was happening.

Acer Aspire One A0A150 keyboard issue,

Sounds to be you just got a faulty keyboard from HongKong, if your old keyboard works except the the Z and the new keyboard works only with function keys, then it sounds to be that the new keyboard is not ment for your laptop. if anything you should of had the same problems as your old keyboard. try using a USB keyboard.

Nothing on key board works, is something locked the mouse works. i have a wireless laser desktop 5000 i am using another key board to type this. please help

Did it happen out of nowhere? or did you do something?
If it happened out of nowhere. The keyboard is probably dusty inside. FInd someone who can open the keyboard and clean all the switches.
Also, check if the cable it ok, it might be jammed or a pin inside might be broken.

With the limited info that you provided, it seems like the motherboard is not functioning. When you turn the computer on, does anything happen in the box?

Lazy finger causing keyboard to lock in all caps??

Does it happen with everything you type or just in particular programs? If it happens in Microsoft word 2003 highlight the area where the all caps is happening then go to Format, Font. Under the Font tab there is a section called Effects, in this section there is an All caps option, uncheck it.

If it types all caps everywhere there could be a short in your keyboard. You can solve this by taking your keyboard apart using a multimeter to find the short and reconnecting with solder or electrical tape. Getting a new keyboard or talking to tech support can also help.
