Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

I have an Envision G22LWK monitor and it won't start for more than a few seconds. It flickers and turns off after a second or two. I have taken the monitor apart in an effort to identify the problem hardware, and when I disconnect one of the power terminals from the backlight it stops flickering when I turn it on. This is the JT229ZP6MR power board and the connector I remove connects on the bottom left corner of the board. The plug is labeled "P904" Albeit the flicker stopping, the monitor still turns off after a second or two. This is beyond my troubleshooting skills. I do not understand how the power board works well enough to continue. I can provide images upon request. Thank You for your time! Will Nelson

SOURCE: Flickerin Screen

The problem is within the power supply. It sounds like a diode problem on the power supply board. Try double check any other burned components like bulged capacitor and burnt resistors. Replacing them could fix it.

My Envision LCD Monitor screens turns gray once its power on. I have tried changing contrast will not work.

When it have this kind of error is a problem of the powerboard.
Anyway you must open it and look at the all capacitors and if are them inflated, if them are inflated must change them.

But can be a problem with inverters... control the transistors - MOSFET on the powerboard.

Good luck!

I have an Envision G22LWK 22" LCD monitor that keeps turning off every 30 secs. How can I stop it from doing that?

is it turning off or going into sleep mode? If turning off, you have issues with the power supply. look at it and see if any capacitors are bubbled up on the ends and replace if you see this.

Out of Range

Your horizontal should be between 30k-80khz while vertical should be 50-75 hz. So you are definitely too high. I would check supply voltages and open it up and look for any obvious issues with capacitors.

When i turn on my monitor (Envision G22LWk) it will go blank about 1 second after I turn it on. What might be the problem?

You may have power supply/inverter board problem due to bad caps, or worst case will be bad lamp assembly, the one shown here has broken lamps, you can hear arcing sound if you listen real close.

I have a n envision 22" flat panel TV purchased

Hello,

I don't think there is still warranty for this TV. Usually, warranty last for 1 to 2 years... In summary there is not warranty for this TV, it must have expired.

To further confirm, check the receipt of purchase. The warranty duration should be stated there.

I hope you understand the above....

Good luck.

Monitor started to flicker then went blank

I have a envision professional series and I love it, but I will get to the point.
I recent ly received a Envision EN9410e monitor, had the same problem (flickering screen then turned on, then off then on then blank). The problem is bad capacitors. There are 7 electrolytic capXon capacitors that will need to be replaced. You should see if the caps are bulging or leaking, if so replace. As known by many replace with the same capacitance and voltage. There are a few incidences that the capacitors where replaced and the problem wasn’t solved; this is because the cap problem wasn’t taken care of and damage occurred to another part of the monitor. The back light is a Royer oscillator (cool things) and it uses two smd mosfet transistors. They are on the green side of the circuit board near a big control chip (they each look like a off rectangle black square with eight pins) you need to see if there is any carbon or chard residue between the pins or burning smell from them, if there is you need to remove the transistor and do some board repair then ether put a new transistor or try the old one. No offence to the people at Envision but not smart putting the drain, gate and source so close to each other under the chip where there is such high voltage! Hope this helps.
