When I came home today, my Toshiba NB 305's keyboard wasn't working, though a USB keyboard worked. Restarted, keyboard still didn't work. Shut down, and it wouldn't start at all. A combination of disconnecting the battery and the AC, and holding the power button for a long time did get it started again, but the keyboard still doesn't work. Thanks!

Maybe the flex cable (thin ribbon type) that connects keyboard with motherboard it's loosen or disconnected at all, or in the worst case it's bad. If you have disassembly skills you could check and fix this, if not you rather take it to some friend with computer hardware knowledges or a technical service center to detect and fix the failure.

I got a targus charger with a lot of charger tips with it. I found the one that works and it has been working for a while. Today i was on my laptop and it died. I noticed that the charger wasn't in. So...

Check to see if the charger tip is obstructed, dirt etc, check for fraying or a kink in the wire at either the charging tip or the wall plug. you can attempt to open it up to rewire it, i would recommend using caution, it sounds like as you got them in a pack of multiple chargers that it would be best to simply replace it.

Have a toshiba NB 305 and Targus 2.0 USB DVD CDROM player. It won't play DVD's though computer recognizes they're in there and says device is installed properly

you may not have the correct codecs installed to play DVD's

download K-lite codec pack and install it, after installing codecs you should be able to play the dvd's

the codecs to play dvd's sometimes don't come with the basic install of windows.

when your keyboard and touchpad are not working, try to connect an usb mouse and keyboard to the laptop, just to be sure the system is responding.
if the usb devices work, you can be pretty sure there is an hardware problem. if the usb devices don't work too, maybe the system got stuck, and the best thing to do is a system reset

When I plug in the usb for Dynex Keyboard, it doesn't work.

Sounds like you've got a bad keyboard.

You should contact Dynex direct for in-warranty replacement.

You can reach them here.

Have you replaced the batteries in the keyboard? It takes 2 AA batteries I believe.
