I disconnected everything and unplugged TV and satellite box. When I reconnected the only thing that doesn't work is the program guide. It says it is searching but nothing comes up it just keeps searching.

How is the remote function when you change channels or pull up other options? Is this only happening when you pull up the Program Guide? If you haven't already done this, unplug the receiver from your electrical outlet for about 10 seconds and then plug back in. This is cause the receiver to reboot and reload all the information. It will also re-acquire the satellite signal. After the picture returns, try the Program Guide to see if it is working better. Also do you have fresh batteries in the remote? I hope this helps.
It sounds like the remote would need to be programmed to the receiver itself. It may have lost it's programming when the TV code was put in.
To program remote to Satellite: 1. Access System Information screen. 2. Note the # on the bottom where it was Secondary Remote Address. 3. Hold SAT until all buttons on top of the remote light up. 4. Let go and while it's blinking enter a number between 1-15 and press # 5. Press record 3 times and test remote.
Hiaschulte274 my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network, there are some things youcan do it get back to your programming. The first thing you will need to do isunplug the receiver for 10 seconds and after plugging it back in it will powerup and once you see the green light on the receiver you will want to go tochannel 3. If you still see no programming go through the different inputs onthe TV. I will send a link to help show how to resolve this issue as well. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/bbs-screen
Make sure you have an ANT. connected to the INPUT on digital converter box....then OUTPUT that signal to the INPUT of your TV....put TV on channel 3 or 4 or put TV on VIDEO if using red, white and yellow wires...power up and program converter box for channels....should work... if not try a set of rabbit ears instead of outside ant.
Was it working before? Is it possible you selected the wrong brand of TV when programming the remote? Do you use a cable box or satellite dish with your TV (in other words, do you change channels by changing the channel on the TV, or on the digital box connected to your TV)?
When dealing with satellite tv, you have to set the remote for satellite by setting the correct code for the satellite dish and pressing on the SAT button. Then, you have to set it for sound by pressing on the TV button and placing the correct code for the brank of TV.
In other words, you must set both sound and satellite to be able to control the channels and the sound. This is somewhat awkward for people with disabilities, but it can be taught.
Go to Best Buy and buy the DirectTV Universal Remote Control Model RC64 ($20). It will control both the Satellite Receiver and the Olevia TV (Everything on the Olevia except the A-B-C-D Guide buttons). The Remote Control User Guide lists the control codes, four for the Olevia. The codes are:
Satellite Receiver: 00392
Olevia 235-T12: 11610 (last of the four codes listed for Olevia)
