Crucial.com also has a memory upgrade advisor that can help pick out the best RAM to max out your system.

For your specific model, it looks like it will take two sticks of DDR PC3200 or PC2700 1 GB 200 pin SODIMM chips.

Please leave feedback if you find this helpful. Thanks!

Nop that's pretty much it.
Only thing I can think of is a screw driver to open the laptop.
It's pretty straight forward so it will go ok! don't worry!

As long as they're the right format and a proper speed for the motherboard in the laptop, there's nothing else you need to do.

As far as i have experienced with any Flash-drive's/"memory sticks" you don't need to do anything, just go to "computer" and it should come up as a removable storage device, or when you plug it in it might have a page pop up where it gives you some options like importing ect.
Hope this helped- Pleas comment/rate even if it is bad.

How do yo get to the memory and can I add 1GB to the existing1!GB or do I have to purchase a 2 GB memory...thanks

Most laptops have 2 memory slots, if you have 1 Gb of RAM using two 512 Mb RAM then you need to replace them with two 1 Gb RAM modules. If you have one RAM module 1 Gb then you only need to add another 1 Gb RAM module. Try to use the same make and speed RAM.

I have 512 mg of memory. Would there be a big difference if I add a 1 gb stick and keep the 512 mb , as oppose to removing the 512 mb and replace with two 1 gb sticks?

The performance of your laptop will improve if similar memory is placed in each of memory slot.If 1gb memory and 512mb memory are placed in available slot you will only get the performance of a single 1gb memory.but two 1gb memory are used performance will be similar to a 2gb ram or more.

    Slow computer

    Hello,

YOu computer meet the average power requirement nowadays. HOwever if you want to make more faster performance. U only need to add more memory. 1Gb is faster than my computer which is 512Mb.

Ok adding more memory make the computer faster from 1 Gb to 2GB this is much faster.

hard drive is nothing to do with the performance of the system. its only a storage of all files.

but besure to know the model of the memory before you buy. it should be identical to your current memory.
