Question about Samsung SyncMaster 932B LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Flicking screen when initially turning on the monitor. It takes approximately 10 minutes of screen flicking before the screen stays on. I constantly click the power button in the bottom right corner on and off and shake the mouse. Please advise what is happening and a solution to stop it. Thanks, Badonna Birdsong

When computer is turned on monitor flicks on and off . i then have to turn it on and off and eventually after about 10 minutes the monitor stays on

This could be more than one issue, but the first I would approach would be the power supply for the monitor. I'm assuming the monitor you're referring to is an LCD with a separate power supply. If the power supply is failing, it would cause this sort of problem. Check your monitor's documentation to see how many volts are required, and then use a multimeter to check the output voltage of your power supply. If it isn't steady, or if it's below spec, you need another power supply.

It could also be the connector cable from the screen to the computer, but if the cable isn't being moved around I would not expect that to be the issue.

Hope that's helpful.

Nikon D90 Image playback Mode

Hi - My D80 allows the length of time the the image displays to be set using the menu system. You shouldn't have any trouble setting this. Mine can be set from 5 sec to 10 minutes. Lookup Monitor-Off in your manual.
