Turn off the laptop. Then, try to remove the battery and the power cables to it & then press and hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery to it. Turn it on and check if the monitor will quickly shuts off. If it is shuts off or if it does turn on and then off afterwards, the problem would be either power supply
or the motherboard itself
You might try to use only the battery (if it is not empty) to check whether the laptop will stay on for as long as the battery holds through.. Otherwise, consult your PC provider to repair your laptop..
